Jani Lane Really Out of Warrant

Twenty-four hours ago, we started hearing rumors of Jani Lane getting dumped by the rest of Warrant. Well, now it's official: he's out.

The rest of Warrant has replaced Jani with Robert Mason of Big Cock.

Jani is an addict and he needs help. That's all I have to say about that issue. I'm not - nor have I ever been - an addict, so it is not my place to judge or criticize. I thank Jani for writing some of the best songs of the Glam genre. I think he truly needs a break.

Warrant performed at Rock the Bayou just days ago. You can read my review of the performance in the archive. Yes, the show was terrible. Here is the proof that presumably sent the rest of Warrant over the edge:

I think this is really sad I hope Jani works it out for himself hes such a talented entertainer. I have seen him put on many great shows and enjoyed his music very much over the years. I wish him the best its not how many times you fall its how many times you get up. Get back up again there are many fans to this day who just like to sit back at a venue and hear u sing when ur at the top of your game u can do it man best wishes

I totally agree with D.J. Savage and Lanceman. It seems that his voice was exhausted and more than likely he was too.So unless you live the life that these frontmen do, lay off. He worked his ass off to make us, his fans, happy with his amazing songwriting, voice and lyrics. Lets see how many of you can do what he has done for the last 25 years.

Jani was my first childhood crush. I was 8 years old and remained a die hard warrant fan for a long time. I wish nothing less than the best for him and his family and hope that he gets it all together. I would love to see him front the band again. What's Warrant without Jani?

Okay, I think a lot of people may have misunderstood my statement here. I agree that the road is a very difficult job to maintain. I also agree that drug addiction & alcoholism makes it that much harder. However, I was not implying that he was particularly out of control, all I was saying is that the band "Warrant" consists of three TRUE members those being Eric Turner, Jerry Dixon & Jani Lane.
As far as Jani's addiction my heart goes out to him only because I too have close friends that are addicts and wish them well. However, I feel that the bottom line here is if you are in a band and choose to make a living in a band that tours, makes music and prospers from your fan base then I feel that no matter who you are, what your physical or mental condition is like you have an OBLIGATION to fulfill your fans expectations. Let's face it no matter how you look at it what they do IS considered a job.
If you are in a band that decides to focus on a tour to make a living then FOCUS. Remember that even as hard as it is to tour being on the road, personal issues and behind the scenes "politics" that those fans are making you a living no matter what by purchasing a ticket to come see you play live. Needless to say that I too have had experience as a working & touring musician but at the end of the day the best feeling doesn't come from sex, drugs or alcohol, it comes from a job well done. Jani, YOU ARE THE MAN! I have just about all the albums that you have recorded and commend you on a job well done. Thank You for keeping REAL Rock & Roll alive and I wish you well in your health and all your future endeavors. Peace.
