Metal Skool...and Mr. Belding?

I always knew Mr. Belding was Glam. You know Mr. Belding, right? From Saved By the Bell fame. That was a great show and I'll admit I was watching early morning reruns of the series as recently as six months ago. Like Glam, the show reminds me a lot of my childhood.

Imagine my surprise when I see a clip of Metal Skool (now Steel Panther) with actor Dennis Haskins (Mr. Belding) pop up as a suggested clip on YouTube. I was actually watching a protest video when the suggestion came down the side of the screen. So, I clicked and watched. Instead of Whitesnake or White Lion, Dennis Haskins sang...you guessed it...the Saved By the Bell theme. Tony Romo took over after Dennis Haskins left the stage...for some Journey. But wait! Dennis Haskins came back to the stage! Good grief. (I have to admit, the video would be more entertaining without all the swearing).

Still...watch and be amused.

"Mr. Belding" has continued to show up for Steel Panther gigs @ the Key Club numerous times in the last few years.
