Porn Star Dancing

This video is a hoot - the theme is 100% Glam, just like Girls, Girls, Girls. My Darkest Days teamed up with Zakk Wylde and Chad Kroeger for the tune. Have a look:

I might buy this album. I don't know much about My Darkest Days, but at least they made a real "rockstar" video, so that's a start.

I agree with Bri!

So cool!

Thanx for posting this, Allyson! It is so cool how this song, as well as this vid, is kinda this mash up of the typical "Rock" song of today... Same kind of phrasing and song dynamic so prevalent now yet it rocks out a little better than most with some subtle Glam Metal crunch by getting ol' Zakkyboy to crank the thing up and then they put your Nickelback boy in there for good measure for some cred and, I can't believe I'm saying this, au curant rockability and somehow it all seems to work.

The contrast of the weird mountain man with his black and white trademark early 90's modernesque signature bullseye guitar juxtaposed to all the Vegas Pool Party Hotties, along with the Emo-ish lead singer of My Darkest Days is Wylde, to say the least...

Mix it all together and you've got, dare I say, Sub-Genius!

Plus, it's super catchy. It went right on my "Nu Metal" iTunes Playlist and I give it an A++++ and ***** !!!

I bet this, or the original mix, must be all over the clubs in all of the major cities. I don't see how the DJs could pass this one up...

Kudos, Al, on this great find! (Tee-Hee!) Thanks, again!

Dayum. That song is awesomely catchy! I think the the fire in the background during the guitar part may have actually been caused by Zakk's smoking solo. And I believe I have a new favorite video....Lol

Thanks Ally,
Gary

Yep! Got this crankin' right now and pressed repeat like 5 times on my iPod when I was jammin' on the beach! You guyz are right. That solo just rips. So funny that Zakk's on there considering how "Pop" this is! He makes it, for sure! What a great one-off for him.

p.s. Gary, Shadow, Rich, thanx for the Maiden tips! You guyz might just convert me yet! Well, at least, partly, anyway, when it comes to these catchy recommendations. That must make Iron Fisters seriously cringe when I describe a Maiden song (i.e. "Can I Play With Madness") as catchy, hahaha!!!

The song is not me, sounds like a nickelback ripoff to much and the autotune is annoying.Zakk's guitar work is spotless though and that carries the song without the video. Honestly I smell a Steel Panther cover of this. Ha!

Whoa, Shad! You really think it soundz like Nickelhack? I thought it sounded less so and maybe that would mean it was actually tolerable that they plugged him in shamelessly to help move the record.

I'm surprised you don't like it more, Shad. But Zakkyboy does totally save this, as you have so adroitly pointed out. But in this case, as is often the case, maybe, just maybe, Only The Shadow Knows for sure!

Cool song and great video. Now that is rock and roll. They even got Krugerand to sing a different melody, but he probably sang his usual melody and they auto-tuned him to sound different. He is extraneous, but Zakk really adds to the song. Reminds me of Anchored - Dirty in Texas. Good find.
