SIXX: A.M. Release Full Video For 'Are You With Me Now'

SIXX:AM finally released the full video for their single "Are You With Me Now." You might recall the band was offering a code to unlock the video in exchange for a donation to City of Hope, which raises money for research, treatment and education for cancer, diabetes, HIV/AIDS and other life-threatening diseases. The single is from the album This Is Gonna Hurt.

The clip isn't inventive - it's live footage - but I like the song and I'm glad the band is using their music to raise money for charity.

It is nice to see bands doing something good for others. I hope the City of Hope thing drew/draws a lot of money.

That said, I have never been able to get into Sixx: AM. They sounds like Creed and Godsmack met at a hotel bar, had some drinks, and . . .

But good works trump good work in this case. Kudos to them for rallying their fans around a great cause.

Yeah, Christian. It would have been even better had it been a Mötley Crüe album. In other words, if Sixx had just used the material for Crüe. Maybe he's taking the Def Leppard approach to producing albums but I wish they would get on it.

Still, if he really feels he's gotta keep this side project going, I'm glad to see him and his band mates of Sixx: A.M. doing some good in the world as Him picked up on from Allyson's post.

God Bless the Rockers and fans who think of others and create awareness for AIDS, Cancer and other strife in the world with their music and not just criticize.

Right, Christian?

Not a bad song... Other than a song here & there, I just can't get in to Sixx AM. I disagree about saving the material for Motley, because having Vince yowl over it would ruin any of the beautiful melody of this tune.

I've known Nikki since the early, early days when he was in a band called London, and the charity aspect of this is really cool. It's not the first time Nikki's done charity work, he just doesn't publicize it for his own gain.

He's been very generous & instrumental in funding the "Children Of The Night" organization, which helps teenage runaways & gets them off the streets.

I dunno, Ace... They coulda punched Neil's vocals in like they did on "Exposed" or his single, "Promise Me" another tune that would have been better as a Crüe track, say, on "Saints of Los Angeles".

Hey, Ace, did ya ever see London when Nikki was with 'em? How did that line-up stack up to the post Sixx line-up?

Metalboy, Yup, I sure did. Many times. To me, the lineup of Nikki Sixx on bass, Nigel Benjamin on lead vocals, Lizzie Grey on guitar, Dane Rage on drums, & John St.John on electric piano is the definitive version. Nothing else comes close. Not even the version w/ Blackie on bass that came later. I photographed the classic version w/ Nikki quite a bit.

Those are some great pics. I think it is great that Nikki is donating to this charity, or any charity in fact. I just do not like Sixx AM. The singer sounds just like the guy from She Wants Revenge, so much so that it is distracting.
