My friend Rick runs a great charity called Cancer Sucks. If you've done Rocklahoma, Rock on the Range or ShipRocked, you've probably met some of the great Cancer Sucks crew. Cancer Sucks had a booth at Rock on the Range last month and they raised a lot of money for cancer research. Here's a release Rick asked me to post. I do encourage you to visit the charity's Facebook page and to make a donation if you can afford it.
CancerSucks.com is proud to announce that they will be donating all proceeds raised at ROTR to The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Centers. The organization was given the opportunity to be on site and raise awareness about their cause during the Rock on The Range Concert in Columbus, Ohio on May 17-19. AEG Live donated a vendor space for Cancer Sucks Merchandise and a signed ROTR poster from 2012 to help raise money through raffle ticket sales. Cancer Sucks Volunteers had a great time and the organization was received very well by the concert attendees. Cancer Sucks will donate $5500.00 raised during ROTR.
Raising money for cancer research one event at a time! We have NO PAID EMPLOYEES and ALL overhead expenses are funded through corporate sponsorships. We donate every penny we raise at our events and all profits from merchandise sales to cancer research.
