So Buckcherry is using Pledge Music to raise cash. Calling it the "Buckcherry Singles Club" the band is selling a six month subscription for one cover song per month. You'll also be entitled to "one-of-a-kind goods and experiences."

Here's the song release schedule. The first cover is the Rolling Stones classic "Beast of Burden."

July 1 – “Beast Of Burden” by The Rolling Stones 
August 1 – “Cover song #2” 
September 1 – “Cover song #3” 
October 1 – “Cover song #4” 
November 3 – “Cover song #5” 
December 1 – “Cover song #6” 

The Access Pass costs $5.

I almost fell asleep listening to this.

Look, I love Buckcherry -- they saved Rock'n'Roll, IMHO -- and I understand they need to keep the cash coming in to keep the Dom Perignon flowing.

I even admire this "fresh" approach they're taking to keep "the show on the road", as they say, but if they're gonna do it, at least knock my socks off with a cover that sounds more unexpected.

Let's hope the next covers on their schedule take a more "original" path.

I read mb's post before listening to the single and really thought mb had her panties in a bunch this morning bc of her unending and well deserved praise of bc. Then, I listened to the song. Correction, I 'tried' listening to it, but couldn't get through it. No bunched panties, no unnecessary pot shots, no passing go and collecting this cover. It sucks. And, I love beast of burden and love various covers of it. Bette Midler anyone? Yeah, I'll fly my freak flag.

I agree I love Buckcherry, and they did in fact save rock n roll as far as radio and more mainstream it goes, but this song isn't really doing anything for me. I'll give the next one a chance though. By the way if you haven't heard their second album Time Bomb you should check it out, it's very underrated.
