Congrats, KIX!

Go buy the new KIX album Rock Your Face Off if you haven't already. It debuted at #49 on the Billboard top 200 chart, which is pretty amazing!

I bought it on release day. I have never really been a Kix fan, even their classic albums. And after listening to it 4-5 times, I really want my 10 bucks back. To me, there isn't anything memorable on the album that makes me want to listen to it. Guitar work is really good, but the songs just aren't memorable enough. But congrats on them making the top 50. Them and Stryper cracking the top 50 is amazing in today's world. Any rock band doing that is an accomplishment.

I love this band and have every since Blow My Fuse, plus i definitely respect their great live act & the fact that theyve kept their musical style. Having said that, & after downloading the songs and checking em out...i just wasnt that impressed. I found 3 solid songs and the rest filler. Which really sucked because i desperately wanted this to be classic Kix. This cd, imo, is easily the weakest in their entire catalog. Maybe Donnie Purnell's influence was missing?

Incredible!!

The album, not the charts. Remember, nobody buys music anymore. Alyson, if u have #'s please share. Kix probably sold 5000 last week.

Nevertheless, the boys deserve some recognition!!!

I am honest when I say that if Aerosmith recorded this album for release in August of 2014, the critics would hail it as the second coming of Toys In The Attic!! The album is fun, cranky with guitars, sassy sexy lyrics and a swagger like evidently Rock & Roll still has thanks to Kix!!!!!!!

"All The Right Things", grooves and moves. "Rollin' In Honey " omg the lyric "she might be 22 or maybe 35!!!" "(Get out!)" speaks to us old timers that fun, flirty kick ass tunes that you can have a rockin BBQ to are finally back!!!! You all know the single. The ballad Inside Outside Inn is so schlocky and cringe worthy cheese, I somehow expect it to be an heartfelt ode to my hubby one day (not now, it's bad :-) )But right now it's easily the weakest on the album and I can't "get" the "Inn" in the title (maybe the years of constant touring and staying at "Inn's" took toll on Steve's marriage.

After 6+ listens there are 8 of 12 tunes I wanna hear live. Let's not forget Kix are a LIVE band.

Much respect to mike n BK. But for this biased reviewer who does not buy new music, but wants to; this new record is easily the best bit o glam in years!!!!!!!

I LOVE THIS SITE!!!! Thx Aly

Yes yes yes. With KIX being so successful, thus far, with their newest CD and the excitement leading up to the release, it really is an awesome thing. No, it's probably not as good as their older stuff, but who cares..it is a new album from a glam band, who happens to be having a great time in 2014. I'm totally impressed with what they've given us and I feel very lucky to live in MD so I can see them all the time live.
I've read a lot of reviews about the record and most are positive. I'm surprised that some are disappointed
Enjoy it cause these kinds of bands are vanishing or have already gone

I got it on the first day as well - there's some really great stuff on there - I really like it!

But more importantly - they are my local band (saw them back as The Shooze) and I'll support them any way I can (this is the first music I've actually paid for in 20 years!) They are genuinely grateful for the fans and are so happy and excited to be here and that its going well!

Amen, B Lucas and Kixchix. You're Gone and Love Me with Your Top Down are worth the $8 alone.

I've only heard the single and I like it. I'm only really familiar with The Blow My Fuse album. I'll pick it up soon, and hope that it's as good as some say it is.

Yeah, I got the iTunes and will get the hardcopy on payday for all the reasons stated above.

You guys ROCK and let me just say, KixChix, if you wind up getting' divorced, lemme know. Think this is the first time you revealed you're a chick, by the way, hahaha!!!

Also, you should, as everyone else should, go on The Monsters of Rock Cruise! KIX is on it and every year, I've been hangin' with Younkins, who last year said he regarded me as his friend! Nicest guys in the world, for sure, and as KixChix indicated in her comments, KILLER LIVE!

p.s. I saw 'em as The Shooz, too, Not2Hi, as I am also a Maryland Boy, thru and thru, my friend. And I also used to see 'em when they were The Generators! Go on The Monsters of Rock Cruise! You're gonna love it. KIX played 3 times on it last time! Plus don't forget ALL the other cool bands on it (except TESLUGH! and NIGHT RANJERKS)! Plus ALL the cool fellow and feline Rock'n'Rollerz on it!

Really is amazing the entered at #49 but as someone else said, it probably has more to do with nobody buying music anymore. But this is still an amazing album from Kix. Not sure how the two comments above can say it is unimpressive, but to each his own. I mean Rollin in Honey, Rock Your Face Off, Wheels in Motion, Love me with Your Top Down, Tail on the Wag and Rock and Roll Showdown are all great hard rock songs. I will say I could have done without the ballad though. Not a fan of that one. But regardless great CD and I love that KIX is putting out new material and seems like the fans are buying it up!!!

I finally got the disc in the mail this week. I've given it about 10 spins now. Couple observations: 1. Love Me With Your Top Down is easily one of my favorite hair metal tunes in the past 5 years. I can't turn that song up loud enough. 2. There are a few good rockers - "Rock Your Face Off", "Miss Adventure", "Wheels in Motion" 3. Ballad is pretty weak. 4. Everything else is mostly filler.

I can't wait for a big tour. It would be nice to scratch KIX off my concert bucketlist.

Got cd couple weeks ago about 10 spins now cd is great you can tell purnell is gone but great anyway. Seen them live probably 40 plus times best live show ever. Seen a lot of 80's bands they are the best by far awsome. Used to go by whitemans house and hear the drums pounding away . Just a born performer. Best frontman I ever seen live . Anybody that listened to 80's band a has got to get this cd . Oh and by the way Steve's marriage is just fine with two wonderful kids that are in the same line of work as h and pretty dam good themselves . They both have bands they play in . Talked to him not long ago and he is a good friend . That knows whwere he came from . Lives in hagerstown md . Will continue to go see them live as long as they keep playing just an awsome night of fun for everyone. Coming to a dump near u real soon.
