Rock Fest Announces Lineup

Rock Fest will take place July 16-19, Cadott, Wisconsin. Headliners include Nickelback, Judas Priest and Avenged Sevenfold. Looks like a great time!

A great time spent on the BBG! Bus I'm Powerballin' to give you so we can party during all the sh*te like Nickelhack. Other than that, I would be there for Priest, Black Stone Cherry and Jackyl... The latter only for Dupree's stand up comedy in between songs.

And as far as going to see somebody without ever hearing a note they've ever played before, who can resist checking out a band named The Cragars?!

In fact, I'm gonna look 'em up right now!

Metalboy has probably never seen them either. Even if he has, it's not like I'd put much stock in his opinion. I liken a Nickelback show to seeing Mötley circa-1989...songs with big guitars and choruses that everyone there knows, a visual show with tons of lights & pyro combined with the party vibe of 1995-ish Pantera. Not to mention the drummer, Daniel Adair, makes 99% of all "glam" drummers look silly.

I know that some people don't like Nickelback for their music or their cheesiness or whatever. The silly part is that they're such an easy "go-to" for people to make fun of. In reality, most of the people who make fun of them have probably never heard more than a song or two.

I only mentioned Lifehouse because they're opening the show here, and because Kenny said he wanted to see The Pretty Reckless. I never said I liked Lifehouse...and to be honest, I wouldn't consider them or Nickelback to be "metal," mediocre or not.

And while I do visit Blabbermouth numerous times a day, that's hardly where I was "spawned" from and I certainly don't belong there.
