KISS Has A New Song!

KISS has a new song called "Don't Touch My Ascot!" The song is from the movie Scooby-Doo! And Kiss: Rock And Roll Mystery. Now, I'm a huge Scooby-Doo fan. I loved that cartoon when I was a kid - I watched it in reruns.

Here's the trailer to the movie. I love Shaggy!

Humorous, but it hardly qualifies as "a Kiss song" as they don't play on it & didn't write it....This is more like incidental music for the Scooby cartoon. The "Samurai Son" tune much more qualifies as a actual KISS song.

This could be a fun little romp for those so inclined. At this point, what real harm can they do to the brand now that brand _is_ the band? Maybe a Sonic Boom branded slushie?

If you get a chance, check out the interview they did (sans Stanley) promoting the movie. It is almost as if Simmons is getting bored with shilling these sorts of tie-ins . . . the Barnumesque hawking just seems flat. And Thayer's way of handing the questions over to him is priceless.

Just when you thought you'd seen it all... Or heard it all... It's too bad they didn't bother to sing on "Don't Touch My Ascot" (Are you sure, Ace? I could swear I heard Stanley's voice). That and if the song was a minute longer, they just might have had a hit on their hands. I'm serious, if not for the sheer novelty of it all.

HIM... Thanks for the tip to watch the interview with Kiss at ComicCon. I went over to check it out on Blabbermouth. Absolutely, priceless. Simmons' quips, body language, mannerisms and classless behavior are quite the spectacle. The whole time, I'm thinking, what the hell is he chewing on? Chewing tobacco? A Jolly Roger? His dentures?

The Kisstery is solved when he removes his gum, sticks it on the top of his Snapple Arnold Palmer (or whatever the hell it is), then unscrews it and holds out the bottle, pinky extended, to take a gulp. The only thing that was missing is he should have worn an ascot. The interview is funny as h*ll and I recommend all check it out.

I actually came away thinking he's actually Trump in disguise as his whole style of speaking and tone are out of the same "New York Attitude Playbook"... Condescending, cutting people off, outsized ego, albeit a tad lighter and funnier, plus he's got the double entendre and innuendo in full force, the latter something Trump only hits on once in awhile. I included that he can't be Trump or Trump, he simply because they can't be in two places at once and with their schedules, that would be impossible.

Trump should even consider $immons to join him on the ticket as VP. Even better, $immons should run for President, too! That would be the ultimate marketing tie-in. It's only natural, Stanley would be his VP, since he's been in that role at KISS Corporation all these years.
and what's with $immons' hair?

During the interview, the camera cuts to an extreme close-up of it and it just looks completely bizzare, like a matted down afro. You think he would have figured out something to do with it by now. The only one can top him in The Weird Hair Department is Trump. Another reason why they're meant for each other.

On a related side note, I watched Trump's hilarious speech at FreedomFest in Phoenix and, lo and behold, at it's conclusion, as he descended from the stage and mingled in the crowd, up cranks "We're Not Gonna Take It", which he played up by cupping his ear and pointing to the speakers in the rafters. My question is, did Twisted Sister give him permission to play it, or is it simply another example of a politician misappropriating a song without permission?

I loved KISS and Scooby Foo when I was younger. I'm done supporting this band though..Do I still want to see them live? Hell yeah I do. Gene ruins it for me. Much respect to Tommy and Eric though.

The late great Ronnie James Dio said it best...Gene invented walking, water, shoes, and everything.

Did you watch the ComicCon interview with $immons, DJ? I encourage you to do so if you haven't already, as it's really quite amusing.

KISS has left the building... Not sure what this is, but certainly not the band I grew up worshipping.
