Bumblefoot Out Of Guns n' Roses

A "source" has apparently confirmed that Bumblefoot is out of Guns n' Roses. Evidently this isn't a new development. The same confirmed source says the guitarist has been out of GnR for a long time now.

It was just earlier this week that guitarist DJ Ashba quit the band, too. Basically Axl's Roses is imploding again. So... now what? Original member reunion rumors? More replacement members? Silence for a decade?

I'd love a reunion but I won't hold my breath.

You got that one line in this article jumbled....

"So... now what? " ... That SHOULD read "Now... So what? "

FIxed.

And, no... the Appetite lineup ain't getting back together. Alder is the only only one who even wants that. Meanwhile, Slash is playing MGM Grand Arena in Vegas this weekend, with Aerosmith... You really think he actually feels the need to deal with Axl's drama-queening again? NOT.

For Thal to walk away from arena gigs should tell anyone all they need to know about working with the psychotic wonder. Ashba I could see,he's falling headfirst into another cushy gig with the Sixx gang. For all his talent (and he has truckloads) Bumble is probably going back to clubs, kickstarter campaigns, and guitar lessons to 12 year olds. From arena gigs. Yessir,I know if I was Slash,I'd be foaming at the mouth to get back to that clusterf&ck scenario with Mr. Personality,,no matter how much dough was involved (and once again,it'd be truckloads) But money does strange things,so I guess you can never say never, although I certainly wouldn't bet my house on it,as Slash is doing quite nicely already with the Conspirators (and G&R residuals and royalties)

I wouldn't think success has anything to do with it, sure for some it might be, but no matter where they're playing, they're living the dream, and somebody like Ashba is really creative and talented to make it new and fresh. I wonder if this is the end of the current "guns n roses" this band will always mean so much to me when I listen to the first four albums. Like I said before I'm not holding my breath. But if they DID get back together, every one of their personalities and talents could make them into something big, creative, fun, and successful again.

DJ's got it right... Ace, if Slash is content to play Generock with his current Generock singer OPENING for Aerosmith, so be it.

But if he could hug it out with Axl and put the original line-up of G n' R back in place, they can be headlining all over the world, put out a RELAVANT album and experience that "6th Member" phenomenon of the way they can only sound when it's Axl, Slash, Izzy, Duff and Stephen playing together.

As for Bumblefoot... He's an enormous talent who could just become someone else's guitarist.

OR... The better play... Form a band called BUMBLEFOOT in chrome letters, put out a hellacious solo album and go out and ROCK the World.

It doesn't matter if it's in clubs as long as he makes the music he wants to make for a change, unlike Ashba, who's still someone's whipping boy.

Besides, you never know... Bumblefoot's got enough name recognition now with his last gig that if he makes a killer album, he just might actually have a hit on his hands.

Oh yeah, Slash and that whiney ass Myles Kennedy are really taking over the world! With this kind of unmitigated success, why would Slash ever consider rejoining one of the biggest bands in the last 30 yrs?! Let's get real, since leaving GNR, Slash hasnt even released a record that is a tenth of what GNR Lies was, no need to even gonna bring up the rest of their splendid catalog, either. Listen, i know a lot of ppl hate on Axl around here(not that i blame ya), but let's not act like any of Slash's bands have ever, ever made anything that will still be relevant in the future. What is their huge smash hit, anyway? Have they even had a hit, period? See what i mean.

Yea make no mistake, Slash is doing ok with Myles Kennedy but they are playing virtually the same venues as when they started. Their popularity hasnt put them in any kind of super rock status. Who knows what drives Slash and his motivation currently, but there is no doubt the audience and the money would be tenfold for Gnr what it is for his solo project.
