Reckless Love, 'Keep It Up All Night' -- New Song

Finnish Glam rockers Reckless Love have a new song out called "Keep It Up All Night." Too bad the song is more pop and less Glam. Opinions?

Normally, I try to make my comments constructive, but this is quite simply god-aweful unlistenable crap!!!

Having children kinda forces me to hear some of today's pop music. Your spot on Ally, totally pop. I don't get the transition or wtf it's called with 1:15 left in the tune. Otherwise it could actually be a pop song on the charts here in the USA.

But yeah, it's crap.

What? You guys aren't hearing what I'm hearing... I hear 100% pure Glam Metal. If you hear "Pop", at least call it "Pop Metal"!

Always LOVED these guys, always will!

I will always like them too. It does not rock, but it is a catchy fun song.

What? It sounds Rockin' to me! Am I caught in some kind of weird Rock & Roll Twilight Zone? I hear Rockin' Glam Metal. Call it Pop Metal, if you must, but I still hear it as I'm describing it.

Admittedly, it's candya*s, but it's great. I don't get the hate.

I'll start off by saying "I've been digging on Reckless Love for the last 4/5 years". This isn't pop to me... This is actually harder for them than their previous hook laden pop-metal. ("Hot" is one of the greatest glam-pop songs ever!) This is OK, just OK... it's no "Hot" or "Beautiful Bomb". These guys would be HUGE .... if this was 1987-1989. P.S. I still don't like the ProTools "cut n' paste" guitar solos. I wish he'd just play a solo.

It's funny you bring up H.E.A.T. also, Arch, because both bands roll with that similar neo-AOR overproduced sound you can only find in Sweden, thanks to the heritage of all the great studios being passed on through the generations (Abba and Europe, anyone?).

But that's where the similarity ends. As great as H.E.A.T. are, they don't Rock nearly as hard as Reckless Love!

Never was really a fan of these guys. I like cheesy rock on occasion, but this is so polished and fake to me. They don't hold a candle to newer glam like Hardcore Superstar and Crashdiet. I've never listened to H.E.A.T. though, I'll check em out, I've heard great things about em.

Yeah, these guys are polished but that's a very conscious decision on their part, DJ, as you'll recall their lead singer was once in Crash Diet but walked away.

As far as Hardcore Superstar, I picked up their latest album and it totally kicks a*s! I like both styles of Glam -- the Pop and the Sleaze Metal. As long as it's Glam, it's usually great, in my book! Viva BBG!
