Def Leppard just dropped a new song called "We All Need Christmas." The Rick Savage-penned track is part of The Story So Far - The Best Of, arriving November 30th.

The band will release an official video for this acoustic Christmas track soon. Pre-order the special package with a 7" vinyl by clicking the image at the left! Great for the holiday shopping season.

I just vomited in my smoothie. C’mon boys! I love a sappy holiday original tune every now and then. I give them props for writing an original tune but this is weak. Make it your own!! Who in the band said, “This is great?!” Take their name off the RRHOF ballot and let them play this shite while they eat figgy pudding on XMas Eve.

Most Xmas songs have something you relate to. Family, singing as kid, the holiday, Santa, Jesus, etc... at some point most Xmas songs that stay evoke rememberance, thanks, enjoyment, or just plain presents. This drivel has none of that. It sounds like drowned out love song in the C cut of songs that should never be on a record.

KixChix post reminded me of a CD I made awhile back for my wife featuring Xmas songs that are mostly by rockers that are just plain good. Bon Jovi has a couple on that cd, mellencamp, bryan adams, pretenders, etc... maybe its time to make another one.
