"Generation Axe" is a supergroup made up of Steve Vai, Zakk Wylde, Yngwie Malmsteen, Nuno Bettencourt and Tosin Abisi. They guys will go on a North American tour this fall. This is actually making a stop by me! Tickets go on sale July 16. Who is going to this?

I saw this the last time it came around. Nuno and Zakk were the best. They both worked the audience well, told great stories and were funny. Obviously they both rocked. Steve Via played a very short set compared to everyone else. He was good but seemed to take on for the team since he put this whole thing together. I was really looking forward to Yngwie. Boy was I disappointed. The ego was ridiculous. How the other players allowed it, I do not know. At one point they all came out and basically bowed to him. He even yelled at one of his techs a few times. At one point he had the tech come on stage to fix a cord or something, and just berated him the whole time. Crazy.
