Ah, allyson, I wish you had been around back then to watch "The Midnight special!" such a great show and, for most of its run, all of the bands played live. If memory serves, although it was called "the Midnight special", it actually aired in most places at 2:00 in the morning, or later; right after "Don Kirshner's rock concert." Such great late night TV in the 70's..

I hopefully wanted to turn you on to some killer music, but most of you know before I do. The band is Rival Sons and they are amazing! they just put out a new cd and it rocks! they've been around a while but I just found 'em. I have not heard this kind of raw power, intensity, and rock mixed with soul since Zep. These guys bring it all, they can do Motown to rock with no probs at all. They have revived my interest in rock that I thought had long ago died. Rival Sons, thank you. I can crank some tunes blowing down the road again. imho very cult sounding, but check'em out
