Be In The Next Tesla Video

Tesla wants you to be in their video for "California Summer Song." Just read the directions below and click through the tweet to submit photos of your family and friends having some summer fun! A very cool concept by Tesla, and probably very cheap too!

Haha!! Yes, and I’ll be sure to wear my vintage official 1992 Def Leppard “Hysteria” T-Shirt in celebration of their transformation into Tes Lappard, too!

My buddy bought a Tesla a few years ago while wearing a Tesla shirt (his favorite band), and sent it in. Fingers crossed. I mean, how many bands have a car named after them ... oh, wait ...

Steverox, you’ve hit on something, my boy ...

Surely, the Tesla band members must all be able to afford to drive Teslas.

I humbly submit, I hope they do. Whatever I may think of their music (I do actually like the Hard Rock numbers off “Shock”, their best material in years) or them, personally, there’s no denying they deserve to, having been road hogs, touring the world incessantly over multiple decades.

Besides, what a cool and funny joke it would it be for them to drive them around where they live. That’s what they need more of ... to have more fun with their brand. I wonder if they ever filmed in an electrical plant. Better yet, how about the Tesla manufacturing facilities?

They should get Musk to do a promo tie in to create a limited release special edition Tesla. Anyway, you can see where I’m going with this, which probably sounds like marketing h*ll for a lot of people, actually, haha!!

Btw, your opinion is in the vast minority MB. This album is getting the worst reviews of any album that theyve ever released. Dont believe me? Check out amazon or any other site where the album is reviewed by actual fans. Obviously we all know you're a Def Leppard fan and that strongly plays into your opinion, though.

I don't really care about "others" reviews. Your ear, your mind, your soul, your spirit, or whatever gets moved by music is different to different people.

There are 12 tracks on the album and I would say 8 are Phil influenced and 4 really sound like Tesla "sound" I think fans are just clamoring more of that. Because we hear The Mission, Tied to the Tracks, etc... and it gets us salivating of why we love the band in the first place.

I understand but imo you can definitely put some kind of weight on those kind of reviews. 95% of the time they’re right on!

Well, boys, as BK has often said, it’s all just opinions. To each his or her own.

As you can see, my opinion of this album is a tortured one. I’m making fun of Tesla, as I always do, but this time, over the fact they allowed Collin to turn them into Tes Lappard, while at the same time, and I’m sure this will p*ss the diehards off, actually liking the tracks for it.

Collin made these guys rock harder than they have in years! So the h*ll with opinions unless their mine and sometimes when we agree on here.

Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy it when I’ve got public opinion behind me but also enjoy it when I believe in my opinion when it’s in the minority as that informs me I’ve got my own opinion I believe in and not influenced by public opinion.

However, sometimes I’ll change my mind and my opinion if I come to realize I’m wrong about something.

But not in this case. Viva Tes Lappard!
