Will Cinderella Tour in 2009?

We all know Cinderella front man Tom Keifer blew a vocal chord, forcing the band to cancel their summer tour. Tom's been on the mend, but there haven't been many comments from the band - or their musician friends. This leads me to wonder if Cinderella are done - or if they will try to tour again this summer?

I think there is a good chance the band will hit the road for select dates this summer - festivals probably - but I doubt a full fledged tour is in the works. I just don't think it makes sense for Tom to risk his voice for any sum of money.

I love Cinderella. I think they are one of the strongest Glam bands of the genre. Their albums are among the best of the best - unique musicianship and strong lyrics.

Picking a favorite Cinderella song is hard. I love "The Last Mile" and "Nobody's Fool." I will say emphatically that "Don't Know What You Got ('Till It's Gone)" is my least favorite of all the Cinderella singles. It drives me crazy that Cinderella had to wait until they released a power ballad as a single to get some respect. Same for Kix, but I digress.

I found a cool clip of "The Last Mile" from Japanese television. The band was the 1989 "Star of the Week" on the particular Japanese show. I love the juxtaposition of the band against the conservatively dressed host. It's a great clip and really represents a moment in time, proving that culture permeates oceans and language barriers. Enjoy.

As much as I love Cinderella, I doubt we will see any tour dates in 2009. I could be wrong, and I hope I am. I would love to see these guys live again. They always put on a good show.
i think his vocal chords are shot. unless i'm mistaken cinderella agreed to play the 1st rocklahoma but then backed out because of his vocal issues. then he has the same or similar problem this year. if i'm wrong about rocklahoma okay but i am sure they didn't tour because of his problems. it just seems that under these conditions his voice may be shot for performing and that's too bad.

Still Climbing is their best album by far. I wish they did some of those songs live, and that the Tom solo album he keeps talking about ( b/c they have contract issues with releasing more Cinderella ) would appear. But, he sounds like crap live now, I saw them a few years ago and it was sad.

I pray they aren't done but i have a bad feeling they may be. It's been entirely too quiet in the cinderella camp and it's obvious all other members are moving on to side projects as their source of income now that cinderella isn't doing anything. Maybe tom will be completely healed by the time summer 2009 is here. I'd love to see them headline one night of Rocklahoma 2009.

I really hope that they tour or do some shows...if Tom is up to it. Because we were just about to buy tickets to the Grand Rapids show (Cinderella/Warrant/Lynch Mob/Lynam), but then it was canceled. I was so excited about seeing them!
Hopefully I'll get another chance too...

Cinderella is one of my favorite bands, too. I have all 4 of their studio albums. And I agree Allyson, I think Tom Keifer is one of the best songwriters of the genre...

As for a favorite song from them, I'd have to pick Somebody Save Me as mine, with Hot And Bothered a close second. Those songs just rip your face off....

Don't know if you folks have taken the time to check out Jeff Labar's new side project Freakshow yet. It has Jeff Labar, Tony Franklin, Frankie Banali and Markus Alan Christopher....it sounds a lot like Cinderella.
yes they will tour again !

Well, I was at a George Lynch guitar clinic last night and he mentioned his band (Lynch Mob I think) was going to tour with Cinderella this coming summer. I asked George if he knew about the condition of Tom's voice and he didn't seem to know too much or at least comment on it, but again, he did say they were supposed to tour together. Cinderella's drummer recently played with Lynch Mob so I assume this news is very credible.

LOVED Cinderella in concert. Saw them 2 years ago, and Tom came onstage and said that he had been having throat issues and apologized that he wasn't 100%. He then proceeded to completely blow me away. I will not miss their show anytime they are near. I go to a ton of shows and their performance was the one that has stuck with me.

i think that tom keifer is 1 of the best singer songwriters of all time of any genre. his lyrics have moved thousands and his abilities will be forever marked as 1 of the top 10 lyricists of all time. as far as touring i think he will once agian tour probably not to far in the near future. his solo album is complete, i chated with tom has recently said the solo project should get a summer or fall release date for sure.

Cinder(****in')ella will tour again. Everytime I seen them, vocals were great, sound was great! The only bad thing is that it's taking forever for them to tour again!
Rock on Tom, Eric, Fred and Jeff!

They are in fact touring in 2009. Not in the US though. Around the end of May the are heading to Japan, then Hawaii I believe.

This info is NOT on their site, the guitarist provided this info to me. So if you're going to be in Japan or Hawaii-you may be able to catch a show!

Cheers!

I'm waiting for Cinderella to go back and tour. Just hope nothing bad happens to Tom's vocals. *crossing fingers they tour in NY too* I'd be proud to go to them for a first concert.
