Awesome Cover of "Day Tripper"

Check this Whitesnake cover of the Beatles "Day Tripper." Awesomeness on a Friday.

Nice one Allyson! Whitesnake was such a great band in the late 70's and early 80's.
I'd take "Come n Get It" over "Slip of the Tongue" any day of the week.

Ah yes! an excellent track from the "Trouble" record. Love the use of the talk box.

Awesome cover of the song. I remember picking up this CD used in 1993 not knowing a single song on it. This was always my favorite.

Killer version of "Day Tripper", by Coverdale and the original Whitesnake, before the "Still of the Night" incarnation of Whitesnake.

See we are talkin' about other's versions as well, and other Beatles/Metal stuff, too...

Type O Negative have an awesome medley Day Tripper/If I Needed Someone/I Want You(She's So Heavy).

Ozzy, a self described Beatles freak has a cover of "In My Life" on his Undercover album, along with a handful of Lennon covers, as well.

As far as one commentator, calling himself Lennon, goes, he certainly is none too fond of Enuff'Znuff. But I gotta tell ya, I saw 'em off that first record at the Cat Club in NYC in what I'm thinkin' was '89 or '90. Cool sound of marrying beatlesque 60's pop psychedelia with hair metal. What ruined it more than anything were their ridiculous outfits of 80's neon spandex meets Paul Revere and the Raiders. I just didn't need Donnie looking over his Lennonesque cheap knock off sunglasses and flashing everyone peace signs while in the meantime their wiz kid genius guitarist (rip) was shredding up a storm. Say what you will, though, when I saw 'em I could tell they had the chops and they played like total pros. The encore they did that night, "Strawberry Fields Forever", flawlessly. I mean close your eyes flawless but with a crazy genius "Randy Rhodes type" guitarist playing alongside George Harrison.
