What The Hell Was MCA Thinking?

Why the hell did MCA Records try to destroy Pretty Boy Floyd right out of the gate? The band has some good tunes, but my Glam, these photos are a nightmare and actually speaks to a larger point: a bad image really can derail an entertainer from getting famous.
