Ok, Who Bought the New Chickenfoot Disc?

Chickenfoot - the supergroup featuring Sammy Hagar, Michael Anthony, Joe Satriani and Chad Smith - just released its self-titled debut. I went to the local Wal-Mart (yeah, I stay classy) but couldn't find a copy of the disc. Digital is fine, but I still want a traditional copy for the album art.

Note: From now until June 8th, Amazon.com is offering the digital download of Chickenfoot for only $3.99.

So what is great on this much anticipated debut? Quite frankly, a whole lot - but what do you expect when Sammy is involved? Hagar is just a great musician and frontman and his songs are fun. He gets the idea of being the total package: rockstar second, entertainer first.

"Oh Yeah" is the first single and it's probably my favorite track on the disc. I also really like "Soap On A Roap."

I was really hoping to see Chickenfoot on tour this summer, but it doesn't look like it's going to happen. None of the dates match my free time/vacation/location schedule.

For the most part, the Chickenfoot disc is lighthearted fun. No one in the band is known for making uptight albums, and this amazing debut falls right in line with the traditional care free attitude that tends to surround any Sammy Hagar project. It rocks and you want it - trust me.

All this talk of Sammy makes me want to go to Cabo...
