Cinderella to Tour in 2010

I knew for awhile Cinderella was inked to play the M3 festival near Baltimore in June but was always skeptical the band would go out on a full fledged tour. I figured Cinderella would try to do a series of fly-in festival dates to protect Tom Keifer's voice. Well, I guess I was wrong. In fact, a lot of my friends asked me if Cinderella would tour and I always said "I doubt it." Well, Cinderella's manager posted a bulletin on the band's website just a few hours ago announcing a tour. Here's the statement:

It is with great excitement that Cinderella announces the band's return to the concert road in 2010!!! The band has been in heavy rehearsal the past two months and has never sounded better...or Tom Keifer's voice stronger! Look for dates, and a tour, to be announced very, very shortly! Tim Heyne, Cinderella Management

I actually contacted Cinderella's management about an interview before this tour announcement, so it's great timing. I'll be sure to get the scoop on all this. I have no idea when dates will be announced or who the band will hit the road with, but I think this is going to be a great summer!

Kari, Kari, Kari...

Jets vs. Vikings in the Superbowl!

Look, I absolutely love the Saints, but they will win next year! Favre needs to silence the critics and go for infamy this year as this is it for him. Brees & the Boyz will have their time, Kari, don't you worry! But it's Favre's do or die moment here, so it's the Vikings that gotta get it.

And the Jet's are gonna beat the Colts cuz their number is up. It's time, for them to, at last, win the Superbowl again. However, I'm too scared to predict who will win the Superbowl. This is Metalboy!'s achilles heel because I am a life long Jets fan!

I know this site is about Metal, Glam Metal, specifically, but I think this discussion works here, because the Who are playing at halftime. They are progenitors to Metal and several Metal bands have covered their stuff, namely W.A.S.P ("The Real Me"), Scorps (Yes, MP3! "I Can't Explain"), Ruskies, Gorky Park ("My Generation"), Roxy Blue ("Squeeze Box") and Kiss (Ace's note for note theft of a lead from "Live At Leeds" that he plugged into one of the tunes on "Kiss Alive" -- Somebody fill this in the blanks on this, if you don't mind cuz I'm too lazy to go through the research process. I don't wanna start gettin' the CD's out to pinpoint the match-up of the respective leads.) If worse comes to worse, I'm willing to do it, if nobody knows off hand. So we will see how it playz out!

Pleeze, Bringbackglammerz, clue me into other Metal bandz that have covered the Who.

Also, NFL Football is Metal because of the music that is played before the kickoffs and sometimes between plays when the hometeam wants to psyche-out the visiting team and also Metal is played in the stadiums to rev up the crowds!

Examples of staples on the stadium D.J.s' playlists are Ozzy's "Crazy Train", Quiet Riot's "Cum On Feel The Noize" and "Metal Health", Accept, "Balls To The Wall", Bon Jovi's "Living On A Prayer", AC/DC "Hell's Bells", and Zeppelin's "Kashmir", among others.

Again, Bringbackglamsterz, any additions to this list greatly appreciated!

"Are you ready for some football?"

p.s. Cinderella! Yes! I wanna see 'em other places besides just M3, so I do sure hope Tom duzn't blow his voice out, especially before M3, but I don't wish him to ever lose his voice again. I still can't believe he made it back! Rock On, Kiefer! And Rock On, Bring Back Glam!

I hope that this bodes well, but his voice was shot to hell four years ago when I saw him, and his style of singing sort of lends itself to long term vocal issues, so I guess we'll see what happens.

Aw, Dang!, Kari!

Well, I'm dead.

The Jets just cashed out!

Let's hope Kiefer duzn't wind up like them in the second half of the 2K10 Cinderella Tour.

Now, we'll see if the Saints will be able to accomplish Mission Miami.

Or will Favre be the Kiss of the NFL, retiring and then coming back better than ever.

See, I knew I could keep it all linked together!

p.s. Kari don't beat me up at M3!
January 24, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterMetalboy!
Well, obviously Metalboy! should stick to disseminating misinformation about Metal and not football. Geeeez!!!

Congrats Kari, and I'm with ya for Mission Miami, all the way! Puleez, New Orleanz, pulverize Manning into the frickin' ground!

p.s. Here's to Cinderella! May their tour go like this season for the New Orlean's Saints. Oh, and I thought of a couple more Glam Metal Football Stadium Anthems... Queen's "We Are The Champions" and "We Will Rock You", particularly the latter when the whole crowd stomps along to the music!

The Who playing halftime with the WHO DATS in the Black and Gold Superbowl 2010! N.O. Favorite Son Peyton Manning and his Colts vs. The New Orleans Saints....I'm STILL crying this morning! Just can't believe it! There is no better feeling than living in the City of New Orleans right now and being a part of the Who Dat Nation! Mardi Gras just got kicked up about 15 notches. LIVING THE WHO DAT DREAM!

Sorry, have to do this.....FAVRE on the ground, FAVRE on the ground. Looking like a fool with your Favre on the Ground. And as the McDonald's jingle goes....BA DA DA DA DA, I'm Lovin' It!
January 25, 2010 | Unregistered Commenterkari
Congrats, Kari!

But do you really have to be so brutal to Favre like that?!

You Metal Chix can be just plain mean at times!

Even so, may you have a rockin' Metal Mardis Gras!

p.s. Even if Manning is one of your fave sons, he still needz to be crushed by Brees & The Boyz.
January 25, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterMetalboy!
I wasn't trying to be mean, It just's a total inside joke coming off the 'PANTS On the Ground' song from American Idol. NO disrepect to him at all but the announcers on the tv last night was like listening to the Bret Favre SHow. UGH!

SAINTS LOOKING TO FINISH STRONG IN MIAMI!

who's coming to NOLA for the Superbowl??
January 25, 2010 | Unregistered Commenterkari
I'm rootin' for your Saints, kiddo, no holds barred!

You Beauty!!!!!!!!!!! This is one of my all time fav's. All I want to see now is "Cinderella Tour Dates for the UK"

Bring it on Mr Kiefer
January 27, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterChippy Chapman (UK)
correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think cinderella (in it's current line up) can play abroad due to some indescretions of their un-named guitar player (a'hem, jeff) who might not be able to secure a visa. at least that was what was reported on the down low during his NB days when they dabbled with the idea of a UK tour.
January 27, 2010 | Unregistered Commenterfletch
cant wait for the tour ive seen them a few times great band live
January 28, 2010 | Unregistered Commenterglamrockerarchie
Hot rumor going around is that Cinderella will be touring with the Scorpions and Winger. Can anyone verify this?
January 30, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterJn
