I've already secured a venue for my annual "M-Pre Party" for 2013. It will be held on Thursday May 2, 2013 at Sonomas in Columbia MD. If anyone knows of any "realistic" bands that might be interest in playing on Thursday please pass my email link along to them... dtoxinproductions@aol.com
I've had over 50 bands express interest so far... So this years "Pre-Party" should be a great time.
Hope to see some of you at M3.
We'll see what kind of bill they put together. A regular commentor on this site informed me the promoters have really scaled back the budget the last two years.
But if the line-up is there, I'm there!
(p.s. The last time I went to London, I blew £2,000 on exclusively British released CDs, picture sleeve 45s, official posters and T-shirts, plus "Live Import" -- code for "Bootleg" DVDs with part of the loot made up of 10 Saxon CDs, 2 copies of Saxon's single, "Princess Of The Night" (one for my ex-lead guitarist, as we love that band so much, we used to perform that song in our band, horribly, I might add -- well, my performance, anyway), a picture sleeve 45 of Tygers of Pan Tang's cover of "Love Potion No. 9", 7 Deep Purple CDs, 4 Whitesnake CDs, 9 Black Sabbath CDs and multiple Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Whitesnake "Live Import" DVDs. My advice, avoid these venues at all costs, unless those costs are less than what I spent in them. However, taking in a show would be priceless, no doubt, if it's a British band playing on British soil. Unless, of course, you need to take a vacation from Metal, too, hahaha!!!)
And Danger Danger with Poley?! That coupled with a few of the other usual suspects and I'm there. What about you, Kenny O?
Eddie will insist in UFO and each version of queensryche. Eddie: get your own fucking festival and leave ours alone.
listen to the new van halen for 72 hours strait and then try to dominate me with your dumbass words of wisdom. UFO? HA! Queensryche? Ha!!! HA!!!!
bring on TS, WASP, Tom Keifer, Warrant, Michael Monroe, Tracii, Steve Adler, Steve Summers, Taime...the true rockers of our decade!
After seeing UFO up top on The Monsters of Rock Cruise, I ran into him hangin' by himself waiting to go into Cinderella. I told him, "You were right about UFO." He got them on the boat and I think that show just might be one of their last as Phil Mogg is no spring chicken anymore.
Regardless, Mogg's onstage banter between songs was killer funny, he was still singing in fine form and Vinnie Moore was the finest guitarist, hands down, on the boat.
If there was a roof over them for that performance, they would have surely torn it off! Though I suspect Chump was campaigning for Queensryche to be added to the bill on next year's upcoming MORC, they could very well have wound up on it anyway because of the cruise's promoters former affiliation with another rock cruise which has Tate on the roster perennially. Still, I'm sure Chump lobbying for them didn't hurt.
But, I agree, Fletch. We don't need 'em at M3 and the sun has since set on UFO. However, if Chumpy wants to help get WASP or some of the others like Twisted Sister on the bill for M3, no doubt, he is the one who can do it, particularly, TS, as he is good friends with Dee Snyder, though, personally, I could really do without those guys.
Hoping like eveyrone else that the lineup is there this year!!
