I don't know about the rest of the album, but the song Yaweh is pretty awesome.

The Black Sabbath cover is weak. Not only does it lack the musical muscle of the original, but they dodge one of the more controversial lyrics in the song.

Who the h*ll is STYPER? I'm sure your typo was unintentional but it is inadvertently appropriate. The missing "R" stands for ROCK and that's what's missing from this album.

Well, to be fair, it does "rock" somewhat (thus, the small "r") -- all Stryper's albums do -- but not nearly as much as "Hell To Pay" or "The Covering".

"What happened here?", you may ask. I actually think they thought, "Hey, the heck with all the Boston/Def Leppard catchy sounding stuff, we need to prove to everyone what shredders we are!".

Of course, that's the emporer's new clothes because that's a goal that's a lot easier to achieve than writing catchy material on par with Boston or Def Leppard doing faithful recreations on "The Covering".

So, in setting out to "Rock harder!", they wound up Rocking less. What a shame, considering how much ground they gained in The Battle of Hair Metal", virtually beating the h*ll out of everyone with "H*ll To Pay", only to retreat backward with this album, even beyond the primitivism of "Soldiers Under Command".

Pray to The Metal Gods they regain their territory and RULE Supreme once again!
