Def Leppard Week: Monday

On Friday, Def Leppard will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Brian May of Queen will do the honors. All week long, we'll celebrate everything Def Leppard. The band has been gearing up on social media. It's a big deal.

I dont know if The Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame means anything anymore, but congrats to Def Leppard anyways. Their first four albums are classic and helped shape rock back then and today, well deserved.

It’s a conundrum, DJ. When Def Leppard is inducted, it gives The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame meaning. When lesser acts are inducted, it loses meaning.

I’ll leave it to you to go through the list of ALL those inducted over the years to determine who or who should not be on it.

Surprisingly, most do belong on it. It’s those very few who don’t and those who have yet to make it on the list but deserve it that gives one pause when considering The Hall’s legitimacy.

I hope the band acknowledges Steve Clark in the ceremony. I also wonder if Pete Willis will get a nod for his work on the first 2 albums.

Yeah, Shawn, it would really be a wonderful demonstration of class of the let Willis join them on stage to play a song or two with them and not just be up there to receive a trophy.

That is unless it’s been pre-arranged with the Rock Hall to NOT include him OR give him a trophy, which would be unfortunate, should that be the case.

And, one thing’s for sure, they WILL certainly acknowledge the h*ll out of Clark.
