A Little Throwback

An amazing solo from an amazing time in Guns n' Roses history. I watched this like five times in a row. GnR use their Twitter account better than most bands with classic pics and concert footage - great fun.

Is that Jaime St. James on drums? Awesome! I kid.

Also, looks like Axl isn't wearing shorts. I know he is. But those spandex biker things can scrunch up on you. Helps to account for his, err, tone.

Seriously though, not a bad showing from the Gilby-days of GnR.

I saw ‘em POINT BLANK (6th Row!) twice with Gilby at Madison Square Garden in ‘92 and they absolutely tore the roof off the place!

Honestly, even with Stradlin and Adler gone and Clarke and Sorum added, it still seemed like they could do no wrong.

It was only after a couple of years it started sinking in they couldn’t write a song to save their lives without Stradlin and their world started caving in with finger pointing and people quitting.

Glad to see they’re back though I still wish they coulda hugged it out better to bring about a full reunion, yet it’s still obviously cool they’ve returned to the stage and are STILL going strong after a couple of years.

STILL, I wish Guns has wrapped up this tour a lot sooner so Rose could have gotten together with Angus to start recording as they had talked about at the conclusion of the AXL/DC tour, as that version of AC/DC is far superior to the Brian Johnson version and the same goes for Gn’R, too!
