'The Stadium Tour' Continues To Hold Our Ticket Money

Look, there are two options here for The Stadium Tour: cancel outright or reschedule the entire run for 2021. I know that Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Poison and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts were looking forward to the tour (and the giant payday) but it is not happening.

Ohio governor Mike DeWine just extended the stay at home order until May 29. I have tickets for the Cincinnati show on July 2. There is no way we are going from "do not congregate in groups of more than 10" to "come on down to a stadium tour with 30,000 people" in the span of one month. It is simply not happening.

Rage Against The Machine realizes this and went ahead and rescheduled their reunion tour for 2021. At this point, I am more than annoyed and I want my ticket money back. This episode has also changed my thinking on buying concert tickets. For shows I am interested in attending, I was always a pre-sale buyer. No more. Now I will wait until right before the show and pay more on the resale market if necessary. I also have hundreds of dollars tied up in Aerosmith at Fenway Park for the band's 50th anniversary. I doubt that will happen either.
