This is some great news! Bret Michaels of Poison is helping to advocate for $35 insulin in America. Bret has always been a powerful advocate for diabetes research and awareness. He is a Type 1 diabetic and has always been open about his health struggles when it comes to diabetes.
The Affordable Insulin Now Act would cap insulin at $35 for people on private health insurance. The act was introduced by Senator Raphael Warnock (D-GA). A fact sheet on the act is available online. The proposed legislation is backed by the American Diabetes Association.
In a country as rich as America, no one should have to ration their medicine. I hope Bret's advocacy helps this cause.
