A Little Bit Rock n’ Roll (I Guess)
Remember Lynam? Anyway, singer/guitarist Jacob Bunton and bassist Mark Dzier are performing with a country artist named Charlie Reece now. You know who else is in the band? Singer/guitarist Brett Scallions of Fuel.
A guitarist named Bert Wallace and drummer Kyle Cunningham round out the band that Reece is calling The Platinum Dolls.
I am no country fan (as you already know), so Charlie Reece’s music does nothing for me. Apparently, Reece is a big fan of country artists and acts like Motley Crue and Guns n’ Roses. So maybe the crossover of his band members makes some sense. Bunton is a prolific songwriter and producer – he works with everyone.
“Built On Her” is the most recent single. You can clearly see Jacob right up front in the video. I chose to watch on mute. It’s just not my thing, but I am happy for Jacob and Mark. I wish they’d do a Lynam reunion show. Or album. But time is money, and music is work, and no one should work for free, so I get it.
