Apparently An Eddie Trunk Documentary Is Coming

I happened to see a social post from radio host Eddie Trunk mentioning an upcoming documentary on his career. Looks like Slash and Duff McKagan of Guns n’ Roses will be featured and an apparently a slew of other musicians we love. No word on when the documentary is due. This was the first I’ve seen mentioned of such a project. Will probably be interesting.

A Lot of Cute RATT Cats

This week has been a month of Mondays. I've only got a little mental capacity left to spare right now - so I'm sharing this great Facebook post from our favorite Stephen Pearcy. I think he loves cats more than me! Odd for a RATT. (See what I did there?)

Aerosmith Will Perform Together Again!

Aerosmith will perform live together again... at least once, anyway. The special performance will take place at Steven Tyler's annual charity event, "Jam for Janie Grammy Awards Viewing Party" on February 2. Lots of other acts will also perform - but the highlight is going to be the 'Smith on stage together again.

I just knew they would perform live together again, despite the retirement announcement. I can't wait to watch videos of this after they are released.

'Hunt For Danger'

Want to hear a catchy-as-hell song? Crazy Lixx has a new track called "Hunt for Danger" and a cool-as-hell video to match.

The song is from the upcoming album Thrill of the Bite and I think it will be a banger. It's coming out February 14 and yes, it would make a great Valentine's Day gift for that special someone in your life.

Farewell John Sykes

Guitarist John Sykes has died at 65. He is best known for his work with Whitesnake, Blue Murder and Thin Lizzy. Many of our Glam heroes considered Sykes a great influence and legend of the guitar craft.

Another one of stars gone too soon - and I remind you all of this every time I have to make one of these posts: don't delay! See your faves live while you still can!

'Get Up, Stand Up'

I've been listening to a lot of Bob Marley lately, especially because his songs remind me of vacations or warmer weather. It is miserable cold in Ohio right now, so anything that makes spring seem closer helps.

As we honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. today I thought sharing Bob Marley's "Get Up, Stand Up" would be appropriate. It's one of my very favorite protest songs of all time.

"You fool some people sometimes, yeah/
But you can't fool all the people all the time/
'Cause now we see the light/
We gonna stand up for our right."

Nothing More, 'House On Sand'

One of the newer songs I've been enjoying for awhile is the Nothing More track "House On Sand." It features Eric V of I Prevail, too! The video is kind of bonkers - if flashing lights bother you, don't watch. Nice nod to British philosopher-of-sorts Alan Watts, too.
