David Coverdale Is Posting Cryptic Stuff On X

I assume we are getting a new release of some sort from Whitesnake (or remaster probably). Singer David Coverdale has been posting all kinds of weird stuff on X and he promises something Friday:

Yes, this is a different post than the one above - different album cover - check out the timestamp!

Happy Anniversary 'Black' Album!

Once again, an anniversary to make all of us feel old as dirt! Metallica's glorious self-titled masterpiece (a.k.a. Black album) was released 33 years ago today. "The Unforgiven" and "Sad But True" as so important to me. Just great songs that are on my all-time faves playlist.

Time flies, man. Back in 1991 I was in fifth grade I think and I remember how big this album got over the next year. Yes, I was obsessed with MTV that young.

Let's Talk About The Latest Revamped Mike Tramp - White Lion Single

Mike Tramp has released a "new" single called "Lonely Nights." It's from the upcoming album Songs of White Lion, Vol II. The song was originally from the 1987 White Lion album Pride, hence the scare quotes around the world new.

Songs of White Lion, Vol II is due August 23 via Frontiers.

The new album is Tramp's rework of classic White Lion tunes. Tramp said he is doing this rework of classic songs because he better understands how he wants to vocalize them now at this point in his life. A visualizer clip of "Lonely Nights" is below and I have to admit, I like it.

How Did I Miss This Bonkers Pink Floyd Cover?

Ok, thanks to the Sirius XM app-exclusive Covers channel, I was introduced to the weirdest Pink Floyd cover ever. It's the Scissor Sisters doing "Comfortably Numb."

Yes, this is a 2004 disco-version of the song and it was even nominated for a Grammy!

Again, how did I miss this insanity? The first listen is jarring and then you kind of get it and I can totally see this being played on a Virgin Voyages cruise around the pool deck or something. Anyway, check out the song below if you haven't heard it before and add that Covers channel to your app library if you have a Sirius subscription because there are some wild gems on there!

Also, happy Who Dey - Bengals first preseason game tonight! See you in the jungle, baby!

Aerosmith's Final Show Online - Now In 4K And Remastered Audio

I plan on watching this concert over the weekend while enjoying a glass of wine. The video is of the final show of Aerosmith's "Peace Out" tour from Elmont, New York in September of 2023.

We didn't know it was the last show at the time, but here we are. After the band's retirement announcement, the clip was remastered and reuploaded in 4K. Thanks so much to Toshi Aizawa for sharing this content via his YouTube account!

David Lee Roth Is Back With New Video; Weird Dancing Ensues

We are lucky to live at the same time as David Lee Roth, I swear. Dude is out here creating music and doing whatever he wants. Dancing while spending that sweet money I guess.

Back in 20126, DLR covered the Simon & Garfunkel song "Baby Driver." Earlier this week, Dave made a clip for the song and it is completely goofy, even by Roth standards. Dave is just out here, having fun and trying to make us smile. You gotta love it - and him!

House of Lords, 'Crowded Room' -- New Single

House of Lords is back, baby! They have a new song called "Crowded Room" and it is released via Frontiers. Yes, this is classic harmonies people! It isn't clear if there is a complete new album coming, but I wouldn't be surprised if we see more from the band soon. Good for them.
