Since I didn’t get to attend the big Aerosmith and Friends celebration at the Hollywood Bowl last night, I’ve spent some of today scrolling for videos and photos. There are so many good clips online!
I love the performance of Aerosmith doing “Train Kept a’ Rollin.” Johnny Depp was on stage too.
It was so good seeing Joey Kramer behind the drum kit again, even just for the finale of “Walk This Way.”
Does Joey Kramer have medical issues? Yes. Does he have Alzheimer’s disease? I don’t know. I will just note that he played his parts as written and counted the band in solo, and I’m not sure any other person with dementia could do that. I am so happy he got his moment with the band again.
Guns n’ Roses did a pretty good job with “Seasons of Wither,” but Axl Rose absolutely butchered my beloved “Nobody’s Fault.” I knew GnR would get that tune because it is Slash’s favorite.
Why does Axl try to stay in falsetto all the time now?
Sammy Hagar rocked it, of course. His performance of “Draw the Line” was badass - and I love the shirt he’s wearing, too. Notice the classic Aerosmith logo with Montrose below. You think that’s a legit tour shirt from back in the day? Can I buy it off Hagar’s back? It’s worth a fortune if it is the real deal.
Oh hi Brad Whitford and Tom Hamilton. Want to be the stars of the show? Okay.
Hold down that low end.
Dave Grohl plays drums, too.
