What Day Is It Again?

So apparently, we are supposed to get two inches of snow in southern Ohio today. Keep in mind it was 65 degrees yesterday. Everyone knows I have an aversion to cold and I hate winter more each passing year, so I am less than enthused by the forecast.

Also, I am completely and fully in stir-crazy mode. As a furloughed federal worker during the longest government shutdown in American history, I am running out of things to do at home. Like, I’m sick of cleaning, ok? I hung outdoor Christmas lights yesterday (no, I am not turning them on yet). I am going to a charity book sale this afternoon that promises used vinyl. Perhaps I will find something worth picking up and spinning to pass the time. It’s sort of like Covid lockdown days for me again.

Mercifully, the Cincinnati Bengals are on a bye this week, so I’m taking a step back from football today, too. Still, not having a game to attend or watch just sort of makes my confusion of what day it is even worse. Plus, I’ve been reading a book about every two days, and I’ll start a new one later. But still, I feel like I’m losing it here.

On the music front, Bad Company finally got inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last night. A video of some of the induction is below, featuring Aerosmith’s Joe Perry on guitar. The post copy is wrong: Perry was inducted into the Rock Hall with the rest of Aerosmith in 2001.
