‘Burn In Hell’

Well, it’s well over 100 on the heat index in southern Ohio right now, and everyone is freaking out. I prefer heat to snow any day, but even I’ll admit it isn’t fun to exercise in a sauna.

This seems like a great time to discuss Dimmu Borgir’s cover of the Twisted Sister classic “Burn In Hell.”

Dimmu Borgir covered the song on their 2001 album Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia.

The band is a black metal act from Norway, and they’ve been around since the early nineties. Personally, I think the cover is really well done, especially considering the differences in genres between DB and TS.

Twisted Sister released “Burn In Hell” on their 1984 masterpiece Stay Hungry.

I like to think Dimmu Borgir has a touch of Glam under that corpse paint. It’s just a different type of makeup, right?
