By now, you’ve probably seen the news that former Scorpions bass player Francis Buchholz has died. He passed yesterday at age 71 from cancer.

The Scorps left a note about Francis on their official socials. You can see that message below. Francis was with the band from 1973 - 1992, so obviously during the height of success. I mean, he played bass on Love At First Sting… how can you not love that record? If that’s not enough, Francis also played on:

  • Taken By Force

  • Lovedrive

  • Animal Magnetism

  • Blackout

  • Savage Amusement

  • Crazy World

Yep. That means you can hear him on “The Zoo,” “Winds of Change,” “Still Loving You,” “Rock You Like a Hurricane,” "Rhythm of Love,” “Big City Love” and so many more tracks you know and love.
