‘I’m So Excited’ - The Cover You Didn’t Know You Needed

I’m so excited and tankful that Metalboy texted me this video last night! Swedish rockers Royal Republic just shared a video for their cover of the Pointer Sisters hit “I’m So Excited” and it is basically all good vibes.

There’s so much throwback technology here, it is wonderful. Like a walkman, for real. Plus, the woman who plays the guitarist’s mom… is really his mom. And how can you not love a strong, yacht rock saxophone solo?

The four guys in Royal Republic are having a blast here and you should too. I mean, we’ve got glam metallers dressed as black metallers listening to 80s pop in a classic car.

Does the band always wear corpse paint? Nope. The clip below is part of a series, hence the “to be continued” at the end.
