Jimmy D'Anda Announces BulletBoys Return
There it is: drummer Jimmy D’Anda announced his return to the BulletBoys via social media this morning. With his return, 3/4 of the original band is now back together. Mick Sweda, original guitarist, declined to return to the fold. The lineup is vocalist Marq Torien, bassist Lonnie Vencent, D’Anda and guitarist Frankie Lindia. Lonnie rejoined the band last December.
Interestingly, D’Anda made the announcement himself - and not via the official BulletBoys page. Despite my inclination, I haven’t fixed any of the grammar or spacing issues from the post below (shudder).
Here’s the full text of D’Anda’s message:
“Good morning rockers and rockettes! I thought long and hard about my future in rock n roll , Everyone knows it’s a monumental task for bands to reunite, especially bands that have been fractured for years… Having said that,I felt that there was unfinished business with my old band BBOYS and after losing OZZY , that shook me to my core … So Lonnie Marq and myself sat down at SALSA AND BEER and had a heartfelt moment of honesty and cleared some years of resentment ( witch we had never done before) I then sat down with Mick the original guitarist and asked if he’d come back, he had no desire to do so, and understandably so. I reached to several guitarist but none had the fire of guitarist Frankie Lindia ( DLR /RATT/Atomic Punks) so please welcome him to the fold! … we’re in rehearsals at the moment and hope to work on new tunes … … ps, any comments of hate or shit talking get you wished in to the corn field”
