Loudwire Stirs the Pot, Asks for Heaviest ‘Hair Metal’ Song

A couple of usual suspects made the Loudwire list for heaviest hair metal song. Of those, Skid Row’s “Slave to the Grind” and Motley Crue’s “Smoke The Sky” instantly came to my mind and on the list.

I assumed Skid Row would have the top spot, but Loudwire argues that Winger’s “Junkyard Dog” is the heaviest hair metal track.

It’s a bold statement for sure. I agree the track is heavy… but is it heavier that Skid Row? I guess that’s debatable and why I’m posting now. It’s from the album Pull which should be a desert-island album for everyone around this place. It’s just that good.

Loudwire also picked Poison’s “Look What The Cat Dragged In” as heavy and I don’t agree with that at all. It’s a great rock song, but it’s not heavy in the Metal sense. Like, are you going to compare the track to something from Megadeth? Probably Not.

Other songs on the list include “Sweet Cheater” by RATT, “Inside Out” by Warrant and “No No No” by Def Leppard, among others.

What do you think is the heaviest Glam tune from back in the day?
