Motley Crue Residency Begins; Vince Neil Admits Stroke
Motley Crue’s Las Vegas residency is many months overdue. It officially started last night - after it was delayed due to health issues impacting lead singer Vince Neil.
Vince finally explained his health issues yesterday, admitting to suffering a stroke the day after Christmas. The stroke was so bad, he had left side paralysis and had to learn to walk again. The stroke evidently happened in his sleep and he could not get out of bed the morning after it happened. Thanks to months of physical therapy, he can now perform again. Vince’s speech was not impacted by the stroke.
The 10-show residency is at Dolby Live at Park MGM. The setlist from last night is pretty standard fare - no surprises:
Video of the show is below. All in all, Vince looks pretty darn good considering his recovery. You can tell he is moving slower than normal at times during the show, but that’s okay.
Strokes scare the shit out of me and are my number one medical fear: one second you’re fine, the next you can’t speak or use your limbs. Terrifying.
