Mötley Crüe ‘American Idol’ Performance

Mötley Crüe performed on the season finale of American Idol last night. Judge Carrie Underwood joined them on stage for the performance.

I didn’t watch American Idol this season - but I saw that Motley would be on, so I kept clicking back and forth between other shows until they came on.

The performance was of “Home Sweet Home” and “Kickstart My Heart.”

It was terrible.

Carrie Underwood was excellent. She sang all the words - she hit the notes. Vince Neil did not and could not. He generally seemed amazed by her during the set.

Here’s the thing: this was different than before when Vince would skip words. He did not look normal, and I blame the stroke he had. I feel like there is still damage there - perhaps to one side of his body. He did not move on stage much at all.

Mötley Crüe are touring this summer. I don’t see how this is fair to Vince, but he’s a grown man and can make his own decisions. I worry the shows will take a toll on him though.
