‘One More Time’ - Album Review
I am so excited about this new album!
Today, Aerosmith and Yungblud officially released the album One More Time (Universal). The 5 song EP is everything I wanted and more.
Track list:
My Only Angel
Problems
Wild Woman
A Thousand Days
Back In The Saddle (2025 remix)
Coming in at 20 minutes, this EP packs a lot of rock in a short amount of time. I’ve listened to the entire album six times today so far. I’m not sure what my favorite album track is, but I do love “Problems” a lot. Of all the songs on One More Time, “Problems” sounds the most throwback to me. It has that opening audio that sounds like a live show to boot. That’s an Aerosmith signature move from way back. The guitar work from Joe Perry is awesome on “A Thousand Days.” Just listen to the solo.
My friend, co-worker and fellow Aerosmith superfan noted that “A Thousand Days” would be perfect live. In fact, he noted that he can just see Steven Tyler twirling on stage while performing the song.
I am a Yungblud fan and very much pleased with this collaboration. I think his voice melds so well with Tyler’s. In fact, this entire album is such a gift and it’s wonderful to hear Steven Tyler sing again. This is a fun rock EP and some songs might even get airplay across commercial radio. This collaboration is great for new fans just learning of Aerosmith by way of Yungblud. Just remember how you felt when you heard Toys In The Attic for the first time. There’s about to be an entire new generation discovering an amazing back catalog, just because of One More Time.
A note about the “Back In The Saddle” remix. I was worried about this one, but hearing it now is cool. It’s the original recording with Yungblud added in here and there. Considering “Saddle” is one of the most perfect rock songs of all time, there’s no way to top the original but a reimagined version is a fun change of pace, too.
This is the happiest I’ve been about new music in a long time. Honestly, I couldn’t stop smiling while listening to the album on repeat this morning. And even better, my vinyl copy has shipped too! I hope it shows up fast.
4/5 horns up.
