‘One on One’ - New Europe Track

As promised, Europe dropped a new song for us today. They also added the surprise of announcing a whole new album as well.

The track released today is called “One on One” and I listened to it first thing this morning. I was immediately impressed. Film actor Peter Stormare stars in the clip below.

There’s a nice chunky guitar riff here - and the song sounds heavy. Love it.

The new album is called Come This Madness (Silver Lining Music / Hell & Back Recordings) and due September 25th. I can’t think of a better title for the times.

On the Europe Facebook, singer Joey Tempest writes:

“‘One On One’ is definitely one of my favourite tracks from the album. The power and feel is fresh, but some of the melodies bring me back to where it all began. The lyric about ‘longing’ set in contrast to a dark heavy drive - makes it strangely haunting. Ever since ‘One On One’ was just a demo, we’ve stayed with it… never gave up on it, and elevated it to a place where it belongs: a high-flying, classic hard rock track.”

Europe chose Mike Fraser to mix the record. This is going to be a good one!
