Rudy Sarzo Uses A.I. Because “Budget”

This sucks.

Rudy Sarzo of Quiet Riot, Ozzy, and more admits to using A.I. to write music because he “doesn’t have a budget.”

Well, I don’t have a budget either, but I write my own content, and that includes my day job, where I churn out words like butter some days. I mean, do you really need A.I. to help you write a song when you’ve literally done it for decades the old-fashioned way?

The song in question is “Your Heart is the Road,” and Sarzo made it as an anniversary gift for his wife.

Look, I think it makes perfect sense for artists to use A.I. to help them along with track ideas and whatnot. I don’t want to hear my favorite bands resort to using A.I. instrumentals, especially when the world is full of wonderful musicians who truly know how to play an instrument.

As an aside, the music bed sort of reminds me of the 1988 song “Waiting for a Star to Fall” by Boy Meets Girl. I own it on vinyl 45!

Ok, that’s the end of my old lady rant for the day.
