RUSH Announces Tour, New Drummer (Yes, This Is Real)

In a bit of shocking news for your Monday, RUSH has announced a new tour… and drummer. It’s been 11 years since RUSH performed live.

Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson are calling the run the Fifty Something tour, celebrating the legacy of their band and the life of late drummer and lyricist Neil Peart. Tour drummer is Anika Nilles.

Nilles is a German-born and based drummer and basically started her career via YouTube. She has released four albums, the most recent being False Truth, which just came out in September.

The Fifty Something tour has just seven dates. I can’t even imagine how much the tickets will cost. Pre-sale starts Wednesday.
