FireHouse, Queensryche Playing EPCOT
EPCOT at Disney World in Florida has special several event “festivals” all year long. One of the bigger ones is the International Flower and Garden Festival. Like the popular Food and Wine Festival, the flower event has free music entertainment just about every day of the event. Some of the performers make sense like Berlin and 98 Degrees… then there are others that raise some eyebrows for the intended crowd. Well, my eyebrows anyway. I write this as a person who loves Disney World – especially EPCOT. I mean, I even own Disney Vacation Club! That said, I am surprised to see Queensryche, FireHouse and Blue October. Of those three, only FireHouse is a new appearance. This means folks must have enjoyed Queensryche and Blue October in the past.
Other rock acts confirmed are .38 Special. Rick Springfield, Plain White T’s and Sugar Ray.
You get to attend the concerts with your admission to EPCOT. There are usually multiple shows per day and seats are first come, first serve. It’s a big amphitheater along the water at the center of the park. Concerts always fill up quickly, so if you really want to see FireHouse up close, you are going to have to seat hoard for quite some time.
New to Disney World? Be advised that spring – especially around Easter – is the busiest, most expensive time to visit, save maybe the week of Christmas. Ticket prices vary based on the time of the year and on-site hotels are crazy expensive, too. There are probably a million websites dedicated to Disney World vacation planning, so visit one of them before you go. Trust me.
