Def Leppard and Motley Crue will play two shows in Atlantic City, NJ, on February 10 and 11. The shows will take place at Hard Rock Live (Etess Arena). The Citi Presale literally begins today (talk about no advance notice!) and general on-sale is Friday.
Clearly these are warm-up gigs for The World Tour which starts in the middle of February in Mexico.
Happiest of Fridays to my glam family! This has been a crazy work week for me - the kind where you feel like you are just barely treading water. I am so glad tomorrow is Saturday and I can sleep in.
In music mews, I sort of assumed Def Leppard was done releasing videos from their new album Diamond Star Halos, but I was apparently wrong. Today they teased a clip of "Kick" from live performances made over the summer during The Stadium Tour. The live video for "Kick" comes out Monday. Maybe this clip is more about promoting the band's upcoming European tour with Motley Crue?
If you'll recall, Def Leppard released an official studio video for "Kick" seven months ago.
I guess the rumors of The Stadium Tour going global were true. Motley Crue and Def Leppard will go to Europe and Latin America in 2023 and it looks like tickets go on sale next Friday. The run starts in Mexico in February and hits the UK in May. Like The Stadium Tour this is a co-headline event and Live Nation is the producer. Get ready for dynamic ticket pricing!
I guess we will see if the rumors about John 5 playing guitar instead of Mick Mars for this next run are true soon enough.

DEFINITELY: The Official Story of Def Leppard will come out in May. The book is available for pre-order now and I just bought my copy. It is currently $45 on Amazon and is the number 1 bestseller in books about heavy metal music right now on that site.
I tried to buy a signed, special edition copy but they were all sold out by the time I got to the band's website. I think the photos look really interesting - the book seems thick and should include some stories we've never heard before. Plus, this will look cool on my coffee table.
Introducing: 'DEFINITELY: The Official Story of Def Leppard' π€
Part memoir, part scrapbook, DEFINITELY is the ultimate record of Def Leppard's legendary career. π₯
Celebrities with their own makeup, skincare and perfume lines are pretty standard these days. Still, most think of artists like Britney Spears or J.Lo when talking about such things. What about Ozzy Osbourne? Yes, the Prince of Darkness has a signature look and he sure has worn a lot of eyeliner in his day. Now, he has a makeup line too. If you want his dark look you can get it now via Rock and Roll Beauty. (Seriously, why didn't I start that company?)
The special collection is available at Ulta. That's a mega makeup chain for those who might not purchase such items on the regular. The eye shadow palette is in the shape of a bat... because, of course it is. The gothic makeup mirror looks really cool and would make a nice gift. The makeup brushes have a great carrier featuring a skull and Ozzy's logo. For practical purposes, the brushes would be great for travel. All jokes aside, the makeup line looks pretty solid. The lip colors are names of popular Ozzy songs like "Mr. Crowley" and "Perry Mason" (of course).
Rock and Roll Beauty is the same company that recently released a special Def Leppard makeup collection, too.
Her Majesty, The Queen has passed at age 96 and now we have King Charles III. For such a historic day, it seems fitting to listen to artists from the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal, yes? Think bands like Motorhead, Iron Maiden, Def Leppard, Saxon, Ozzy Osbourne/Black Sabbath, Girl, Whitesnake, Rainbow, UFO and Judas Priest.
I will point out that Queen Elizabeth II met with many musicians over her decades on the throne, including Def Leppard.
"She has transcended eras with good grace and service to her country that is unparalleled anywhere or by anyone. Thank you your Majesty for a lifetime of great memories and leadership."
I mourn with my country the passing of our greatest Queen. With a heavy heart I say it is devastating the thought of England without Queen Elizabeth II pic.twitter.com/JZYXGRz2hb
Queen Elizabeth II's coronation was the first royal event of its kind to be broadcast almost in full on television. But it was a token of the changes β and global fascination β that accompanied her time as queen. Read our full obituary here. https://t.co/US4iTniVDh
Here's a 1983 concert bootleg of my beloved Def Leppard performing at Hammersmith Odeon in London. This was really early into the Pyromania tour. Elizabeth II was coronated on June 2, 1953... meaning she had already been monarch for 30 years by the time Def Leppard performed the concert shared below.
Def Leppard just dropped a lyric video for their song "This Guitar." The song is on the fabulous new album Diamond Star Halos. I actually saw this first via the Def Leppard email list. Usually I see this stuff on social media well before the email blasts. It was a nice surprise to see something in my email box other than spam.
Happy Friday and good luck to the Americans playing the Mega Millions lottery tonight. The prize is over a billion (yes, with a B!) so of course I grabbed a couple tickets too. When I win, we'll have a big Bring Back Glam! concert - free for everyone!
