Best Road Songs

There's nothing quite like a road song. I had MTV Classic on in the background while working yesterday and Bon Jovi's "Wanted Dead or Alive" came on. Of course, the song is one of the best about being a rock band on the road. I decided to make a list of my favorite road songs. Let me know what you think!

So My Cat Digs Metallica

I was minding my own business, reading a book and listening to classical music when my husband blew through the bedroom door and said "Alexa, play heavy metal!" I rolled my eyes when Imagine Dragons came on. Soon enough, Metallica and "Enter Sandman" was playing and in popped Roosevelt, the cat.

He searched all around the room until he zeroed in on the source of the music: my little white Echo Dot. I couldn't tell if he liked the music or not, but as James Hetfield kept singing, Roosevelt planted his butt right on the Echo Dot and patiently listened until "Enter Sandman" was done. Next up was Godsmack, so he took off and I switched back to classical.

So do I have a metal cat? I think so, but perhaps a very discerning one. I mean, how could he be anything else? He hangs out with me when I listen to Aerosmith and Motley Crue, too. I bet he'd hiss if Staind popped up on a playlist.

So Apparently There Is A Metal Peloton Channel

According to the Tweet below, Peloton has a metal playlist and now Metallica is part of it, too. You can use the Peloton app without having a branded bike or treadmill. A little more information about the playlist and ride schedule is available on the Pelo Buddy website. I don't personally have the Peloton app right now, but I do have some free credits to access it via one of my credit card benefits. Perhaps I should pull the trigger and check this out.

A Metallica Podcast Is Coming

I had my first physical therapy appointment for my shoulder today (see the latest News of the Week post if you don't know what I am referencing). It is totally weird not being able to lift my arm above my head - or out to my side. Or have no strength to lift anything. After the PT appointment, my arm was extra sore and typing = no bueno!

In music news - I am not a podcast person. That said, this special Metallica podcast event seems cool and I will check it out. Will you?
