‘What’s In My Bag?’ - Rockstar Edition

I love handbags. I admire them, collect them, lust after them. I’ve been a longtime reader of PurseBlog (yes, that’s a thing), which covers the designer side of the handbag industry. Anyway, imagine my shock to see that Def Leppard posted a video of drummer Rick Allen doing a “What’s in my bag?” segment.

Rick is currently carrying a crossbody Prada bag. It looks like a re-edition nylon. I’m not 100% sure, but it could be this - going for $2,200. He also has the matching wallet. The best part of the video is when he pulls out the wallet and says “It’s great… to have money.”

I did chuckle.

Then Rick proceeds to unload a lot of crap, including Troll dolls, a Las Vegas residency poker chip - mentioning when the band did Hysteria in its entirety. All I’m saying is, this seems like another clue to build on my post from yesterday. Like, now I’m thinking the big announcement from the Leps tomorrow IS another Vegas residency, this time focusing on Pyromania. What would be the point of doing this video now - and making sure there’s an old Vegas poker chip involved?

The plot also thickens because Def Leppard posted a video of their live performance of “Animal” from that Hysteria residency. Sure, today is the anniversary of when “Animal” was released as a single in 1987… but why not just post the regular video then? Or any other live performance of the song? No, there’s a reason the Vegas residency was chosen.
