Pretty Boy Floyd Announce Tour

Pretty Boy Floyd has a new lineup to go with their tour in celebration of the 20th anniversary of Leather Boyz with Electric Toyz. Who's in the band these days? Steve Summers (vocals), Kristy Majors (guitar), Troy Patrick Farrell (drums) and Chris 6 (bass).

The tour isn't really hitting the U.S. Instead, the band is going to Europe, Japan, Mexico and Australia - not necessarily in that order. There is one American date on 12/18 at The Galaxy in Santa, Ana California. The Bulletboys will also play that show. Check out all the dates here.

Remember Rockhead?

Whew - talk about wonderfully obscure! Rockhead actually featured Bob Rock in a main role. Yes, that Bob Rock. The band even toured with Bon Jovi! You can read a little more about Rockhead here. There isn't much other info on them around the web. If you're not familiar with the band, don't feel bad.

Three Metal Wishes

You know the whole "Genie in a bottle" fantasy, right? Rub a bottle, out pops a genie and you get three wishes. What if those were three Metal wishes? Say you had the chance to have any three things you wanted - the only stipulation being that the wish had to be related to Metal music in some way. What would you wish for?

I'm not sure I could say what I'd want, to be honest. The power here is great: the potential to turn back time, avert tragedies, avoid band member catastrophes...it's mind blowing when you think about it. Of course, altering the course of one action, therefore changes so many others...so I don't know.

I can't name all three of my wishes, but I know one of them would revolve me going back in time to really experience Glam on the Sunset Strip back in the early 80s. Other than that, I've got nothing. I can't wait to read your wishes - good luck, though. This is a hard one!

Crazy Nights Vs. Crazy, Crazy Nights

The Loudness and KISS both have songs called "Crazy Nights" (ok, I know the KISS version is called "Crazy, Crazy Nights," but give me a break!)

Which is better? I choose KISS. What say you?

I don't know if I like the KISS version better because of the song or the video. I think it's both. I always liked this KISS video more than some of their others.

Endeverafter Get Ready for New Album, Shiprocked

"We’re the band, that after our shows...we would hop off the stage directly after our set to connect with fans," says Michael Grant of Endeverafter. "We’re definitely all for the fans. Kristan (Mallory, guitar) and I jump off the stage, crowd surf, with everyone partying…and talk to whomever. We’re all about the fans. We’re lucky to even have fans, period."

In about 11 days, I'll be boarding a cruise ship for Shiprocked. Endeverafter is one of the very cool bands that will play the ship over the five days at sea. I talked to guitarist/vocalist Michael Grant and guitarist Kristan Mallory a couple weeks ago about all sorts of things, including Shiprocked. Being a music fan and just generally excited about my upcoming vacation, I asked Grant how his band was invited to perform on Shiprocked. Turns out, it goes all the way back to Vince Neil.

"The (Motley) cruise came about because Vince Neil had gotten way of our band from us touring with artists like Cinderella and Poison and that came up in 2005," explains Grant. "We’d done some other tours with bands in the classic 80s rock genre as well, like RATT and Skid Row and one offs at different festivals. I think Vince Neil really got our sound and he wanted our energy and that new element on the cruise as well. Obviously we were happy and honored to be considered to do such a thing. When you’re on a cruise ship (with) some of your favorite bands, musicians and some cool people... you get to go to different countries, you get to lounge, relax, reconnect – it’s amazing."

Because Endeverafter made such a great impact on the Motley Cruise, the band was invited to play on Shiprocked. It’s no coincidence that the person who produced the Motley Cruise is also producing Shiprocked.

Of course, Shiprocked isn't the only thing going for Endeverafter. The modern Glam band is currently working on a new album. In fact, Grant was playing his guitar during our phone chat. A riff would pop into his head, and he'd have to play it. I must admit it was very cool hearing a song take shape - and I'm glad I have it on Mp3, thanks to my little voice recorder.

I've got a few posts about Endeverafter scheduled soon for Noisecreep. In the meantime, read the first one about Michael Grant's day job. He's a pretty cool guy.

Share Royalties from Enuff Z’Nuff Hits “Fly High Michelle” and “Baby Loves You”

This is one of the coolest things I've ever seen. Just in time for the holiday season, you can purchase a royalty earning share in one of Enuff Z'Nuff's most famous songs. Thanks to SongVest, you can purchase a share of either "Baby Loves You" or "Fly High Michelle." There are all sorts of ways fans can collect music memorabilia, but I think this is one of the most valuable. I've been to the SongVest website before, but never saw any songs/bands that really caught my fancy. I'm watching the site - when the right song/band combo comes up, I'll be bidding. Here's the official press release.

Madison, WI – November 2, 2009 – SongVest, the company that reinvented music memorabilia by auctioning song rights directly to fans, has announced their next auction will feature MTV hits “Fly High Michelle” And “Baby Loves You” from 80’s power pop band Enuff Z’Nuff. The auction will take place November 21-28 exclusively at http://www.songvest.com.

To help commemorate the band’s 25th anniversary, Enuff Z’Nuff founders Chip Z’Nuff and Donnie Vie are rewarding fans with a piece of their shares to singles from their first two critically acclaimed albums. "Fly High Michelle," a touching rock ballad that topped the MTV Video chart, and "Baby Loves You," an in-your-face pop gem that combined metal and melody, will be available for bid. In addition to a portion of the song’s royalties, the winners will also receive a personalized and signed one-of-a-kind platinum album award.

The auction will begin at 3PM EST on Saturday, November 21 and end at 3PM EST on Saturday, November 28. Fans can register now at  http://www.songvest.com to learn more about royalty history and how the songs were written.

Since 2007, SongVest has offered music fans, collectors, and investors the unique opportunity to share royalties with the writers of their favorite music. Past auctions have included the rights to songs recorded by Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Carrie Underwood, Ringo Starr, Ozzy Osbourne, Natalie Cole, and The Monkees.
