Is Nothing Sacred to Gene Simmons?

We all know Gene Simmon$ will market anything with his name - or the KISS brand - but c'mon: urinal cakes? Apparently, some people in much bigger cities than mine have happened upon Gene Simmons urinal cakes. The cakes promote the reality show Gene Simmons Family Jewels.

Bloody hell.

Bloggers report that some of the cakes talk. I have no idea what a talking urinal cake would, um, say but I guess it's a sales pitch. I assume you have to pee on the cake to get it to talk...again, I'm no expert on urinals.

You just know there's some crazed KISS fan out there, wandering the streets of New York City, hunting for a slightly less-used cake to add to his huge Simmons collection. I shudder at the notion.

Gene Dante and the Future Starlets

Gene Dante and the Future Starlets describe their sound as Glam. I can hear the influence, but it's much more 70s inspired than Poison-esque (think the New York Dolls wearing tuxedos). The band is promoting their new album The Romantic Lead. The first single is "A Madness to his Method" and the supporting clip was directed by Michael Pope. Pope has also directed videos for Bang Camaro. Above all else, the message here is clear: be yourself and love who you are!

Wait, So Now Aerosmith Will Do All of 'Rocks' Live?

Reuters news service is now reporting Aerosmith will do all of 'Rocks' live "soon" during the current summer tour.

This news has me freaking out.

You all already know Rocks is my favorite album of all time. I was excited when Aerosmith announced plans to do all of Toys in the Attic live - but was pretty vocal that I felt Rocks was the far superior choice.

Now, it seems, it shall happen.

The band has been playing its classic 1975 album "Toys in the Attic" in its entirety, with the notable exception of the closing track "You See Me Crying."

[Joe] Perry said the song is too difficult for vocalist Steven Tyler to sing right now, but Tyler hopes he will be able to do it after a few more shows. At any rate, the band expects to swap out "Toys in the Attic" in about two weeks, and play all the tracks from its 1976 follow-up "Rocks," Perry said.

I'm seeing the band July 1 in Cincinnati. I hope the band has made the switch by then, otherwise I'll be devastated. I can't afford to see the show again because the tickets are bonkers pricey. It's bad enough guitarist Brad Whitford will still be on the disabled list at that show. Whitford expects to rejoin the tour around July 7th. (He's recovering from a nasty head injury).

I swear, a large part of my life is tied up in Aerosmith and to hear "Nobody's Fault" live...I just can't even comprehend. I keep trying to explain how much it would mean to me to hear all of Rocks live, but words just don't do the (possible) experience justice.

I think it's odd for the band to make the switch to Rocks versus Toys in the Attic over "You See My Crying," but whatever. I'll take it. Still, there's more to the story. Maybe the band realized more hardcore fans were clamoring for Rocks.

No matter the reason, I'm really excited.
