L.A. Guns at Rocklahoma?

Did Tracii Guns version of L.A. Guns inadvertantly confirm their apperance at Rocklahoma 2008?

My favorite version of the band is having a rough go of a tour. First, they had stuff stolen while performing in Dayton, Ohio (please see "Breaking News: L.A. Guns Ripped Off") now, their van is stuck in Tennessee. Tracii Guns, Paul Black, Jeremy Guns, and Chad Stewart are asking for your help. Here's a Myspace bulletin. Note the Rocklahoma portion:

"We are having some troubles on the road. Our van is stuck in Memphis, Tennessee. It threw a rod in the engine. We need to find anyone in that area who can help us with getting it fixed.

So here’s the deal. If any of you can get our van from Memphis and fix it for us, or if there’s anyone that can tow it to Oklahoma City for us (we have a mechanic that can fix it there) please, reply to this message as soon as possible.

We’ll give you VIP passes to next years Rocklahoma.

Please, this is not a joke. We really need help… write only if you can do anything.

We look forward to hearing from you soon."

That sucks I was hoping for Phil Lewis' band to be there. You know the one that actually sounds like LA Guns! Looks like I will be in the VIP beer tent again if Tracii brings Paul Black out on stage again for Rocklahoma.

Well I only have one LA Guns Album and that's called A Vicious Circle and that album sucks big time.

I guess Paul Mars Black is on that one judging by the comments above!!!

A Vicious Circle features Phil Lewis and Tracii Guns.

I don't own it...but I think it came out in 1995.

It seems that this version of L.A. Guns it's kinda unlucky, is it real that someone have stolen their instruments in europe? Maybe it's Phil Lewis playin' with some kind of a tracii shaped voodoo doll! Or maybe Phil and Stiv (dressed like a dog) are putting obstacles in the L.A.Guns like Dick Dastardly in the Wacky Races :D

P.S.: Billykiss, Vicious Circle is a hell of an album for any L.A. Guns fan! Maybe you don't like any version of them if you don't like that album!

Anyone want to take any bets that there will be a kiss and make up between Phil and Tracy before Rocklahoma?

You KNOW that regardless of what a nice guy Paul Black is, Phil Lewis is the most recognizable voice for LA GUNS. And the shame of that is that while Paul is singing his own songs, because of hearing Phil and associating him as the voice of LA Guns, Paul looks like he's a hired gun in an LA Guns cover band. And that sucks.

Traci is way cool, no doubt about it, but he's also shown in the past that he's willing to jump ship and then change his mind. He's already said that he'd get back together with Phil but would not play with Steve Riley again... and who blames him? Unfortunately, Phil doesn't seemt to want to play without Steve...

Jesus, make it simple you guys; Reform the original band that toured behind the first couple albums - Traci, Phil, Steve, Kelly Nickels and Mick Cripps. That's REALLY what any LA Guns fan wants to see.

But, the only way THAT will happen is if there is some serious money on the table... And I don't blame them. Hell, I don't think I could stand to tour with any of the bands I played with and we were nowhere near their level. Old bullshit dies hard, you know?

I went to the whitby/toronto show last night, and it was awesome. Paul Black may not be the best singer in the world, but he's a great showman. Tracii is a hell of a performer and Tracii Jr. has taken some lessons from Uncle Nikki.

The guys in LA Guns hate Tracii. you all should read the interview with Steve Riley. he says that they will never let Tacii back in LA Guns. He also says that hes not suprised that Guns N Roses doesn't even mention him in all thier Bio things on TV like the behind the music thing on VH1. the Phil Lewis LA Guns is the original LA Guns and i have to agree with Steve Riley. people only go to hear these bands play all their popular tunes. Phil Lewis is who they want to hear. I hope the Phil Lewis LA Guns goes to Rocklahoma.

I think the best album from LA Guns is Cocked and loaded and the one before that is good to. Phil Lewis is the original as far as i am concerned. I believe Paul Black had drug and Alcohol problems and thats why he got kicked out. He missed his chance and phil got it. Besides Tracii only left the phil lewis version because the other guys kicked him out or something like that. It was very interesting to read that Steve Riley interview.

Caught both versions of LA Guns recently. Paul Black version was so horrible that we left early. Phil Lewis kicked ass. One of the best shows I have seen in a small venue. Totally rocked!
