Traci Michaelz of Peppermint Creeps Dead

Traci Michaelz of the Peppermint Creeps has died while on tour in Texas. No other information is available at this time.

The Peppermint Creeps kept Glam going on the Sunset Strip throughout the 90s. Instead of just black eye liner and spandex, the Peppermint Creeps created an out-of-this-world persona, donning wild stage clothes to match an even bigger spectacle of a show.

Michaelz also performed with Heart Throb Mob, Candy Apple Queenz, and the Glamvestite Vampires. Traci Michaelz was just 34 years old.

I've known Mike since he was a 14 year old kid who you used to come by our band house when I lived in Eugene, Oregon. He was ALWAYS a joy to be around and I will miss seeing him around LA.

I didn't know Traci, nor did I listen to Pepperment Creeps. However, the loss to the musical world is truly devestating. I have friends who were close to Traci and this really upset them. I truly believe that Traci will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him personally and those who knew him through his music. Rock in Peace Traci know that you are missed and loved.and to those of you who want to be rude, it just shows how jealous of a person you are. Go bleep yourself! Mama Glam Bear

I'm saddened and shocked to hear of mike's passing.I gave him the pet name of Traci a long time ago when we first hung out up here in san francisco.he was my sweet pretty-girl and really loved make-up and sexy outfits.I took him shopping all the time and turned him on to wigs and he really loved dressing up sexy for me.Traci was always stared at whenever we'd walk into a leather-bar together and I was always proud he was my special girl.

Daddy's little girl is resting peacefully now.

God Bless!

Traci was truly rebellious as he waved the GLAM flag high and proudly when everyone else denied ever saluting it. I repsected him for that. Plus I loved the "s e x" tattoo on his arm!

I can echo everyone's sentiments on here. The dude was one of the best glam drummer's ever! When I ran into him at Gene Loves Jezebel recently he was the same cool guy as ever. I just want to make sure he gets props for always being GLAM to the core! His band Heart Throb Mob came along at a time when glam was on life support - even here in L.A - and his bands, all the way through to the 'Creeps kept it from completely dying out. Traci Michaelz music WAS Glam on the Strip for the years when the industry disappeared up grunge and indie rocks ass!!!

Just because a man dies does not mean he deserves respect.

Some people DO deserve to die with NO respect!!!

Traci wasn't one of them.

I was just getting to know Traci and the PC's with in the last few months. I respected him as a person and a businessman. He spent his final night with my dear friends at the Rockstar. I know they treated him like the star he was and he had an amazing time. I am sad that I never got to see him perform live on stage. I hope that I will see PC's keep going on. I LOVE their music and wish them the best in this time of grief. I will not be able to attend the funeral tomorrow, but my thoughts will be there. 2:00pm lets all have a toast.... TO TRACI, YOU WILL TRULY BE MISSED!

I used to hang out with Traci at parties around the sunset strip after the Rainbow would close.

He was such a great guy, a true original.

Just a really cool guy who wouldn't judge you, and just wanted to hang out and chat and have a good time.

I'm so sorry to hear.

Rest in peace Traci.

Brent.

Traci Michaels was an icon in the Sunset Strip Scene in the eighties nineties and even two thousands. Even though we had a disagreement about the band Nirvana.I loved them and he hated them. We last time we witnessed Traci's great drums and percussion capabilities was at the Malibu Inn with the band Pretty Boy Floyd. We have been to countless Creep shows I wrote many great Creep reviews and Traci had a great heart and will be sadly missed. He loved to party as we all did,I worked briefly with Traci and he was always alot of fun to hang out with.I rmemeber we had to take the bus home one night and Traci made it fun and was upbeat about everything. It was late at night and he was full of energy and vibrancy. We are gonna miss him.My heartfelt condolences to ther edt of his friends and family

This is for the cowards who from behind the confines of their keyboard have done their part, wasting precicous time they could have used to achieve 1/4 of what Traci did, to TRY and tarnish a name that is now legend!
It is downright offensive to me and complete cowardice that you would slander the name and memory of someone whether you disliked them or not, after they have passed on! Do you hate life that much!?
And then hide behind it and not even put your real name? You deserve a good right hook in the mouth!
Traci wouldn't have done that, he wasn't a malicious person, he was outgoing, someone you knew you could count and always kept his word! Never seen him say a negative thing about anyone...
This is exactly why he is now a legend as in passing people are fighting over him, using his name to bring attention to their own projects etc, he would never have done that, but you would...so FUCK OFF AND DIE!!
The guy did it all, sorry your band is derivative and a 3rd generation facsimile of what was cool 18 yrs ago that you will never know what its like to get in a van and tour, yet alone play Europe (the continent, not the band, LOL), and have a label PAY YOU to record a CD!
Unlike you, i have left my contact name and welcome confrontation, thats the difference!
And finally, whether you posted how he was a nice guy, etc...did you have to add that you werent a fan of his band!? God whats it like to know the only place your opinion matters is in cyberspace? The only place you can have sex too as well! Losers...
RIP Traci...Your a legend! -LEE
Traci was good people, and he will be missed, BUT the Creeps sucked, and they never would've had success off the Susnset Strip.. even their strip shows typically had less than 50 people in the crowd.

Yeah i know they wouldn't have success off of the strip, thats why in the last year they performed in such far off countries as France and Italy! Just like your band! (Sarcasm mode turned ON!)...
I think the archive of Creep-related videos on youtube.com do more than enough to dispell your notion that they performed to less than 50 peeps on average!
The point is in the midst of all this negative, you should be worrying about your own fucking life! -LEE
Lee, I saw them play several times.. and the venues were always near empty.. They played a show at the 'Gig' down on Melrose (I guess in 2003 or 2004,) and there was less than 25 people in the crowd.. like I said, it doesn't change the quality of man that Traci "Michaelz" was, but because he is dead, don't transform the Creeps into the Doors, they had little/no appeal as a group & were doing nothing innovative...

Never said that, now your just being a fucking prick, just give credit where credit is due...your a miserable cocksucker and thats not even your real name! You will live forever im sure cause your a scumbag... End of story, the whole world fucking loved this dude and noone likes you which is why your a miserable fuck... So you attended one show with a shitty turnout and now you brand them this and that!? Cunts like you have done the same shit to my band for years...thats why i love kicking the shit out of them by surprise when i find out their online identity... I dont know your name, so ill just call you ASSHOLE!

YOU TELL EM CHRISTOPHER LEE!!
July 12, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterSONJA
Lee,
Honestly, you need some anger management help.. You come onto a site that was designed to discuss Michael 'Traci Michaelz' Choudory's life, and you use this forum to promote your own, nothing band, and then you proceed to attack anyone with a differing opinion about the 'Creeps'..
Because I address the reality of the Creeps professional failures, does not mean that I disliked Traci, or that I disliked his band.. (or that I'm a 'miserable person') it just means, they were going nowhere, but regardless Traci will be missed, the Creeps & their music, ..won't.
You asked that I "give credit, where credit is due" so here is some credit due you - you sir, are a dummy & a dipshit, who will gig tirelessly for years without anyone noticing or caring, you will retire from music , and then pursue your career as a Starbucks barista.
